Obviously those people have not watched a lick of the Western Conference. They only time they were tuned in to a hockey game past 6:00 PM Pacific time was when the Rangers or Devils were playing in O.T.
Gotta love the Rangers fans arguing about the Conn Smythe going to Lundqvist because his team has scored the least amount of goals in the playoffs, but that argument goes out the window when it comes to Quick and the Vezina.

I love it. Let them keep saying the same old ****.

9-1 doesn't mean anything? You have to be brain dead now to blow off the Kings. (Or any Western team with that kind of record.)

If the Red Wings were 9-1 through 10 playoff games, announcers would be fumbling and bumbling all over themselves trying to be the first one in to say "Greatest of All Time!"

I just hope the Rangers and/or Devils take us real lightly too, SHOULD we advance.

Just to add something...

If you are talking about posters on the main boards, then you are talking about mostly boneheads who don't know ****.

I was watching NHL Network last night and they were oohing and aahing about the Kings' accomplishments. And to be fair, except for this Craig Button character, they have recognized the Kings' talent level all year long and many there have wondered out loud during the season how they could underachieve all year long.

It seems clowns like Milbury and the other guy (Johnson?) have been getting it too, although a little late.

You are never going to fully eliminate Canadian and East Coast bias in professional hockey...I have seen it all my life, and it never changes...and until we can get a few Stanley Cups in a row out west (including teams like San Jose and Vancouver, not just us), the East Coast bias will continue.

There are some really great, objective posters on this website, don't get me wrong. But there are many many many more boneheads, and engaging them for the most part is a waste of time.

Unless, of course, you choose to engage them just to screw with them and for entertainment purposes.

Could be tailor made for the way the Kings are playing now.

He wants to go home to his family and run the London Knights again (he owns the team). Makes sense. I wouldn't want to deal with Ovechkin crying about his ice time either.

LMAO, great responses by him in both clips. It is amazing how stupid a lot of sports reporters are. I'm glad Tortorella puts them in their place.

He has it made in the Juniors, the guy is a legend. His word is the law to those kids.

I wouldn't want to deal with the Caps players either.

Occured to me during last nights game:

Kings (8th seed) beat Vancouver (1), St. Louis (2) and are in the process of whipping Phoenix (3).

Rangers (1st seed) beat Ottawa (8), Washington (7) and are playing New Jersey (6).

When Kings win cup over Rangers it's 8th seed over 1st seed. Has any other team come close to doing this? We might not lose another game this season! Phoenix has already virtually imploded. New York and New Jersey both looked like crap last night.

Ok, it might not go that smoothly, but still, this run the Kings are on is crazy and could get down right other worldly.

Seriously.

Some people hate on Torts for doing it, but I love it.

The Rangers look exactly like PHX; hang around defending all game. Capitalize on mistakes.

On a side note, Marty B is one hell of a puck handling goalie.

I wonder how long it will be until the Rangers build a human wall in front of their net by lying on top of each other.

Devils would be a tougher opponent in the Final for sure. I have to think the Rangers will run out of gas at some point in this series. You just can't play 14 games in the first 2 rounds and expect to survive.

Both teams have their weaknesses. But I agree. I don't know how you aren't effected by two straight game 7 series.

Devils defense doesn't scare me. Kings will dominate them with their speed and size.

I would rather face NJ, but either team could be a tough series.

Random thought... Darren Dreger's voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me. The fact that almost everything out of his mouth is hot air doesn't help.

What is it about the Kings that is pissi^% everyone off ?

The Bruins didn't get this much hate last season. The Kings haven't been good forever, have zero Cups.

You think that would intrigue some people.....Nope. The Ducks fan's are losing their mind. I mean are they really that petty >?

I could care less the Ducks have a Cup, I am not a Ducks fan. Just Like I don't care the Habs have 24....

Well Finland beat the US. with .08 left. Jack on the ice for two goals against I believe.

I love Jack, but man he is awful playing Defense. I harp on Drew a lot, but Drew is an Elite Defensive player.
