Nikita Kucherov

What would it take? he is a highly offensive player with an explosive shot. I have this feeling Grigorenko will be at #5 and Toronto will take him and if so I think it would bode pretty well if we brought in a former teammate of his who he has played extremely well with in the past.

He was taken with a late 2nd last year, right?

I'm assuming that his value hasn't changed radically since then.

Bolts drafted him. He has said he wants to stay in Russia until after the 2014 Olympics, as he wants the best chance to make the team.

but he has contract for 2014/15 as well. New GM of CSKA is Sergei Fedorov, so I think Kucherov will be happy to work with him. I see no reason to come over.

If Yzerman asked I expect Fedorov would work something out if he want to leave for the NHL.

If he comes over it won't be until after the 2014 Olympics. Possibly sooner if something happens but aside from that he's a long-term prospect.

I am 100% okay with him staying in Russia till after the Olympics I mean this kid was drafted at the age of 16 so ideally he will be (I am guessing.) 20 to 21 when the Olympics happen so with that seriously I want a value we talking a mid 2nd round pick? Prospect with similar situation?

Sorry meant to say 19. God I am getting all confused as of late. In the end I am still okay with if he wants to stay over in Russia till after the Olympics.

Deal, I'd do it if I was SY cause we could use Franson next year and not sure if or when Kucherov will ever come over.

Is Brett Connolly available?

I think he can be but only for a deal to bring us a young #1 goalie or top 4 D.

John-Michael Liles is a top 4 defenseman right now, or Jesse Blacker that has the potential to be a very solid one.

We have our own JML in MAB albeit a little worse defensively, Blacker has potential yes but not enough to get Connolly. We've already done a potential top 6 for top 4 deal with the Ashton and Aulie trade. I'd like Blacker but not for Connolly, it'll have to be more of Panik/Killorn/Kucherov. I wouldn't mind sending you a late 2nd plus mid range prospect for Blacker?

We can't really do this. Blacker potential is very high.

Would you do Blacker+ for Connolly?

With Bragin as new CSKA's coach, I bet Kucherov and Gusev will get into the roster. I couple of years in KHL won't make them worse.

So is Panik's and Killorn's potential. And I'd rather not deal with Toronto.
