haha! now get CBS2 to fix theirs. They do the same thing all the time when they actually talk hockey. I haven't watched Channel 2 in a while though so they might have fixed it.

The fact that they cared enough to devote some airtime to this is good enough for me. Good on them for correcting such an egregious mistake.

Yeah, you don't see that too often. Good for them.

Chuck Henry probably made them do it, he is the consummate professional.

The Sacramento Kings basketball team logo.

FWIW... the Kings have led the sports portion of the news every night they've had a game on NBC4. They had a reporter in Phoenix last night and for Game 1 the game story led one of the newscasts.

Good on them for apologizing and for (finally) giving the Kings the coverage they deserve.

Tony, don't know how long you been around, but in 1993 they went overboard too...although I have to say, as far as I recollect, they started earlier with this team...I don't think the media was in full swing with the 1993 team until they were up 2-1 in the WCF.

I am happy I the Kings are getting the coverage they deserve, but I'll be damned if I tune in to listen to these bandwagoners and their "analysis" or inane questions.

That includes the local affiliates of NBC, CBS, ABC, and the Lakers Talk Network.

1993 predates my time following the Kings, but it's good to see that basketball is playing second fiddle to hockey... As it should given the Kings are a full round deeper than the Lakers or Clippers.

After watching both the Lakers and Clippers playoff games in their 2nd round games , the Kings will be the last LA team standing when it's all over.

Ktla should apologize too....for Roger Lodge...god that guy is a tool.

NBC4 actually has been pimping the LA Kings....late last week all their morning show cast had Kings home jerseys on.

That's good of them to do that. I bet I know why the Kings are getting the lead on KNBC though. Its simply cross-promotion between this and NBC's coverage of the NHL. I'm sure if the NBC wasn't the network for the NHL, KNBC would probably give them the same amount of promo as the rest.

Either way, any coverage is better than no coverage.

They're getting a lot of love on KABC7 as well.

Are all SoCal reporters that tan? I guarantee that wouldn't happen up here (at least on one network) as the announcer for the Sharks' (Randy Hahn) wife works for a network as a weather women and would more than likely have spotted the derpitude right away. But they again she married a jackass so probably not..
