Rangers never win easy. I'm pissed, but I still think we should win the series.

Oh I hope. I just had a little help from my NYHF friends about forfeiting prom for the Cup. This team better do me some justice.

Rangers definitely don't make things easy. How can clearing the puck be so problematic?

There were also a few shots and passes that the Rangers fanned on. You can't do that.

I want my money back. That was the most disgusting hockey I've ever watched. Slow to every ****ing puck, making stupid passes, not paying attention, and sloppy puck handling. Absolutely putrid. I've never seen a team fail to clear a puck as much as this team. Led to goals two and three for NJ.

Oh and Torts, I love you, but tonight you made me sick to my stomach. Down by a goal and you're sitting Gaborik the whole ****ing first ten minutes of the third period, and instead you are playing Rupp, Mitchell, and Prust.

Only players who decided to show up tonight were Kreider, Stepan, Callahan, and Hagelin. Hank was good as always. No goalie could've saved any one of NJ's goals.

Disgusting.

Sloppy sloppy sloppy. Only good to come out of this one was the PP potting 2 and Kreider making contributions. Other than that the best part of this game was the penalty box door.

Yes, they got away with a lot of subtle interference tonight. Its very annoying to watch.

After all these years of their boring trap hockey the devils fans should not be allowed to complain about any teams style of play. Not to mention Rangers only blocked 66 more shots than the Devils during the regular season...that isn't much of a difference.

Not concerned. Rest should help a little. They played like **** and ALMOST won this game.

Tortarella won't let them come out like **** on Saturday.

This right here is what keeps me sane through this tedious post season. Even when we play at our absolute worst and stink like hot garbage, we only lose by 1 friggin goal.

one of the best defense in the league. one of the best goalies in the world. absolutely no scoring. Three goal game for them is high scoring, shut the other team down = wins. Thing is, if the other team happens to catch them sleeping and get three goals...they're ****ed.

nothing p.isses me off more than seeing prust on the ice in the 3rd period when we're losing. double shift the big boys. instead we're benching gabby and rolling out prust/rupp/mitchell. mind boggling.

lol, same here. Again, we were dead tired and played sloppy hockey and still almost pulled it out. Am I annoyed, yes? But I don't think panic is really a rational reaction right now. Our boys will come out ready to roll and rested on Saturday. With the rest, who knows, maybe we'll even win back to back games for once?

Either way, we'll get through this.

Which is absolutely maddening. A team with Gaborik, Richards, Hagelin, Kreider, Callahan, Del Zotto, Stepan, and Dubinsky can't generate offense. 3 goals against us may as well be 18 because we will never match that.

Whoever said that losing game 2 will catch up with us is 100% right. How often can you lose home ice and expect to win. We almost lost last series, if it wasn't for Richards' miracle goal. We were only 1-2 in Washington. Making every series tied will take its toll. This team just doesn't show up when they have a chance to grab the series by its throat.

Callahan showed up tonight? He's been brutal all playoffs. Someone else besides me surely sees this I hope.

Horrible effort tonight. Lost every puck battle, not testing NJ's defense, Bickel running around like an idiot letting Clarkson get into his head, the list goes on. Eminger should be playing over him at this point. Tortorella has been outcoached by MacLean, Hunter in a few games, and DeBoer tonight. He's great, but benching Gaborik tonight is ridiculous. It's game 2 of the Conference Finals and you're benching him because he didn't block a shot? Tortorella needs to be better, and if he preaches accountability, he needs to hold himself accountable too.

2 PP goals, yet no real sustained pressure. Little bit of an issue. Really upset at this performance with ANOTHER chance to get up 2-0 and failing a third time. Never easy, put it behind us and get ready for game 3. It's definitely not time to panic, and I apologize if it seems like I'm doing so. Just angry tonight is all.

No, I get it. Not saying people can't complain/b*tch--hell, this is what these boards are for lol. I was just trying to calm down the hyper-panicky fans that's all.

ETA: I agree with everyone by the way; it really is frustrating rooting for a team that can't put on the kill switch. But I keep telling myself three thing:

1) everything from here on out is icing

2) They were exhausted. Not an excuse for poor effort, but a lot of the mistakes were because of that .

3) Despite number one, I really do feel like it's our year. So I dunno, gonna try to be slightly be optimistic.

Plus if there's one thing I've learned from cheering for the Rangers, Giants, Knicks--I have to keep my blood pleasure somewhat even or I will die an early death lol.

I keep seeing this mentality which I disagree with a lot. Callahan has been great up until early in the Caps series. He hasn't been racking up points but he was playing an extremely physical game.

He has to be injured.
