When I think of ktla, I think about Stu Nahan. He was a former hockey goalie I believe. One of the few LA sportscasters, that actually knew a thing or two about sports unlike others.
Jesus, the Ducks never got this kind of apology for the million times teams kept calling them the Mighty Ducks. You guys must be doing something right.
Tony, don't know how long you been around, but in 1993 they went overboard too...although I have to say, as far as I recollect, they started earlier with this team...I don't think the media was in full swing with the 1993 team until they were up 2-1 in the WCF.
Lol, Kelly Hrudy's mug was on EVERY....SINGLE....CHANEL...from the 6am morning shows till the 11pm News. And if it wasnt Kings Hockey, it was World Cup in LA chatter. Sheesh, seems like yesterday.
The fact that they cared enough to devote some airtime to this is good enough for me. Good on them for correcting such an egregious mistake.
Agreed, though I did chuckle when he says "this logo over my shoulder is the right one" and then proceeds to point with his pen over the wrong shoulder. At least they corrected their error, which is important and didn't just brush it to the side. You don't see it near enough in journalism, and I'm glad they did it.
Maybe our next crusade could be to get Craig Button to admit he's nothing but a horses ass when talking about the Kings? Still shake my head at him saying we shouldn't have done the Carter/Johnson deal because we needed more offense from the blueline.

Why would she notice? She has nothing to do with the graphic displays before hand. That's like getting annoyed with DL if the jumbotron guy puts up the Clippers logo for a promo of the Lakers.
Meh the chick that hosts with him, well her son plays for the JR Kings So yea.....
Colleen Williams is the co-anchor for the 5 pm news with Chuck Henry. The story was the second lead at the 6 pm news that day, and they had a different co-anchor with him. I'm sure if they ran it during the 5 , she'd have picked up on it. She's a huge Kings fan and I remember her saying her family rearranged her mothers day plans so she could see the game.
