maybe I'm seeing something wrong here, but this trade to me seems hugely tilted in Chicago's favour... I mean the difference between Pavelski and Sharp is what, maybe 5-10 points per year? With Sharp being like 3 years older?
Personally, I would not add a pretty good Dman and a good goalie prospect just to get older and not much better...

not really a fan of either team btw...
It's hugely tilted. I would much rather have Pavelski.
I like Sharp a lot, but I would rather keep Pavs. If Sharp could be had for some combo of Clowe, Murray, and Sexsmith (since ther was a req for a young goalie) that would better. But I doubt Chicago does that.
Take out Stalock and I do it. It essentially is Pavelski for Sharp, Murray is dead weight and the Hawks would be doing us a favor by taking him off our hands.
There's no justification for valuing Sharp over Pavelski. Sharp is a slightly better offensive player but Pavelski is a slightly better defensive player with age and a better contract on his side. If anything, Pavelski for Sharp would require the Hawks to add although it wouldn't be something significant.
I don't mind the basis of a Pavelski for Sharp swap but Crawford is not going to be involved coming back even if we want to offer to help your goaltending situation with either Niemi or Greiss or Sateri or Stalock. You'll have to find a home for Crawford elsewhere. Murray's value should be at a 2nd rounder around the middle of the round or back. Chicago's pick at 48 is about where I'd expect Murray to get if you maxed out for one asset on him.
However, at the end of the day, even though the Sharks and Hawks do make good trading partners, I don't think Bowman will want to deal with Wilson. I don't think Wilson would have a tough time doing it but I could understand Bowman having issues with how the Hjalmarsson thing played out.
I'd probably do Pavelski, Murray, and a 7th for Sharp, a 2nd, and a 3rd.
I don't see why Chicago would do this to be honest. Sharp is one of their best forwards and they get back a downgrade (who is only 2 and a half years younger) in Pavelski, a 5/6 d-man and a goalie prospect (easily the least valuable prospects in hockey).
