I think its going to be taken with Muzzy coming out of retirement as Chiarelli's top 9 replacement he talked about.

Gomez, Darche or Moen will grab 27, you can take that to the bank

the number 1 overall pick didn't have star potential?

kluzak was the goods.

Watched what little there was to his career and offensively he was far from the "goods" Draft postion does not mean that much. See Patrick Stefan Greg Joly etc etc.

11 - Messier
22 - Bossy
33 - Roy
44 - Richer
55 - Murphy
66 - Lemieux
77 - Bourque
88 - Lindros
99 - Gretzky

With Seids wearing 44, Dougie will just have to settle for ousting Murphy or Lindros to put his name up with the all-time greats.

meh. they hit as well. see "all of the number 1 overall picks that did work out".

kluzak was never an offensive player. even in junior i think his best year he had like 5 goals. he was a big mean shut down, intimidating defenseman. that's what they drafted him for.

he was the goods. take it to the bank.

Again I saw his entire career.....have seen many defensive d come and go and he was a smarter better Garth Butcher. Hardly a star and not nearly the shutdown defensman that Stevens became or that Chara is now.....Both of them had offensive dimension to their game...) We will have to agree to disagree completely. Take that to the bank....

that's because he played less that 300 career games! you make it sound like i never watched him. i saw his "whole career" too. if you blinked you missed it.

but whatever.

you're wrong.

Kluzak had good mobility for a big guy .His best year was in 88 when he played the entire year with Ray Bourque.Gord was definitely a solid #2 D for that one year[playing with Ray obviously helped].Kluzak could make a good first pass out of his own zone but he didn't have any offensive instincts and in no way shape or form was he the caliber of Chara.

he wasn't drafted for offensive instincts. and we'll never know if he could have been a Chara like shut down guy because of how short his career was. Chara didn't become Chara until well after 300 games in the league.

In Kluzak the Bruins were looking for their Larry Robinson.
