Still can't believe Anaheim is drafting ahead of us.

I want Reilly, guessing everyone else wants Trouba.

I'd be happy with anyone on this list.

I chose Rielly because he's got a high ceiling, and we need some serious difference-makers on the back end.

Trouba.

Big, mobile, smart, shot, offensive upside, good two-way defenseman.

<--- Starting to sort of want Teuvo...

For now I'll go with Reilly as I think he has the most upside. I think by the time the draft rolls around I'll be completely off that bandwagon, though. I've cooled on him a lot. Behind him, I've got Trouba and Teuvo neck in neck. I realize many want that defenseman because this system absolutely lacks that but I don't think you draft for need when you're not seeing that player for 2+ years. I'm not convinced a guy like Teuvo won't be a better player than these defensemen down the road. Even if he's another undersized forward...

I don't think we can emphasize that point enough.

I hear ya TP. But I also think about value added to the organization. Would another top six forward make an impact in 3-5 years, or would an offensive top four defenseman make an impact in 3-5 years? Kind of a value over replacement.

Almost went Faksa because I really like him, and I don't think he'll get any votes.

I'll be cool with either Trouba, or Rielly.

Because I say that, GMCF and co. will probably find someone we've never heard of and he will turn out to be a stud.

To be brutally honest, I want a good D who can keep our own end clean. Whether it's Trouba, Rielly or Griffin Reinhart, I trust GMCF&Co:s drafting skills.

Please let it be Trouba though. I kinda like the kid.

The motto all year was "Poopa for Trouba" and I'm not about to go back on that.

Honestly I want some kind of goal scoring forward with a little size to him. Doesnt have to be a physical player, just have the size needed to actually protect himself from the Torres and Ott's and other headhunting dorks of the NHL.

I haven't voted yet. Can fans of either Reilly or Trouba, convince me who to vote for? I have a basic understanding of their talents. From what I've read, Reilly has a higher offensive ceiling (which the Wild lack from their defense) and Trouba has better defensive instincts and a mean streak.

Is that an accurate description of what separates them?

I guess, I'm just trying to fill in the blanks. Who is the better skater and passer? Who has the higher hockey IQ? Etc...

Thanks for any help.

It is hard to say exactly who has the higher impact potential to the Wild but basically Rielly is an elite puckmoving prospect who is mobile but has questions of his defensive play. Trouba is a mixture of size, skating, and skill. Trouba's offensive upside is as high as anyone elses but there are questions of him because he is quite raw.

I say Trouba because his upside is huge, has the tools to become an elite defenseman with size, skating, a huge shot, and defensive awareness. He is a prospect who's development is on an upward curve. Rielly is good but he lacks the size that Trouba has.

In addition, he'll most likely represent USA for two more times, which is great for his development playing against the top junior players in the world, while Rielly may not have that chance.
