So far fans from Boston and Chicago say yes, but I have to think that Tamp would need to add a prsopect or something. just not sure who it would go to.
I'd rather cut out Chicago and move 2 seconds to Boston for Thomas.
Some TB fans seemed to not have interest in Thomas or didn't want to give up 2 2nd round picks for him. I thought this could be a meeting in the middle from what I've read in the Thomas to chicago and Thomas to TB threads.
I'd do it if I was SY, no matter how bad Chicago fans think Crawford is he can't be any worse than Roli was last year. It'll only cost one 2nd which is cheaper than any other goalie seems to be, and he's 10 years younger than TT.

I agree. If this was a real proposal laid out, I would jump on it in a heart beat. Props for only having to give up a second too.
I'd be more interested in trading any 2 of the Lightnings 2nd round picks for Thomas directly than trading a single 2nd round pick for Crawford.
Why? TT might be good now but he has 2-3 years left, he also gets to play behind the best D in the league so who knows how he'll fair behind a weak D. Crawford can potentially be our goalie for the next 10 years. Giving up 1 2nd is also better than 2, I'm just not a very big fan of TT so I'd prefer someone else.
Seriously, why settle for Crawford when you can get TT for a pair of seconds. That's not a high price to pay for a starter.
TT has 2 Vezinas and just won a Cup, how many more years is he going to play? IMO, at this point, TT is basically just a rental goalie for a team making a cup run. Tampa isn't in a win now mode, so giving up one 2nd for a goalie who could turn into a starter for the next 8-10yrs is a better option that two 2nds for a guy who will play 1 or 2 great years and then retire.
I really like TT, I think he's great. From my perspective though, he is a better fit for a team that needs to make a cup run now(San Jose?) or a team that has a very good young goalie prospect that needs 1 or 2 more years splitting time with a veteran(Florida?).
Edit: 1 2nd for Crawford and 2 2nds for TT are both good trades for Tampa IMO. I'm just saying that I prefer what the OP originally suggested (trade for Crawford).
