Thank you!

To be honest, I had the other three done when I thought "Hmmm, i still haven't traded the Kostitsyns", so I threw them to a team that needed scoring wingers and tried to get some depth in return. Plus a line of Kostitsyn-Malkin-Kostitsyn would be really interesting to watch.

Not enough for Weber IMO. These trades look like what Philly did this summer, but I guarantee you it wouldn't work out for us.

A defense consisting of:
Coburn-Klein
Josi-Murray
Gill/Boullion/Ellis/Weber,etc

looks like an expansion team, we'd better hope Seth Jones comes in right away and plays his ass off.

Would you be interested in Dan Boyle?

Absolutely. Not at the price of Josi if we can avoid it, but definitely interested.

What would you offer? I'm sure he will leave NSH off his list of 8 teams he won't go to this summer.

Let me put it one way: If Sharks management accepted that, it would be a fair bet to say that they feel reasonably confident that they could sign him. And if management talked to him and thought they had a very good chance of signing him, I'd do it. Probably just because I have a huge prospect-crush on Austin Watson. But Pavs just isn't the kind of player you trade for rights, even if two good prospects are thrown in.

But again, kudos on the trades. It's rare to see a thread like this and have the trades be very reasonable. (See, Extreme Makeover: Leafs Edition)

Depends on the Weber/Suter situation. I'd say Wilson+prospect?

How about this:

Pavelski
Boyle

to NSH for

UFA rights to Suter
Colin Wilson
Austin Watson
Patric Hornvquist

What would it take to get just UFA rights to Suter + RFA rights to Lindback from Pens?

Something along Kennedy + pick?

Boyle is a top PP QB for probably the next 4yrs. Pavelski would fit Trotz system perfectly. The Sharks get younger. So I would say its a win-win.

I like it. Posted it in our "offseason" thread, we'll see what happens.

People love to hate on Radulov. It makes them feel superior.

I know it's his rights, but they're RFA and he is a legitimate top-line forward when he plays to his potential, which happened I'd say 80% of his games in Nashville.

Why would Nashville want to take on more salary? They could just re-sign Suter for less than a million more than Boyle ($6.67 million per year until 2014) is making. They need to save every penny for Weber/Suter right now.

Also, Boyle is still a decent top-pairing defenseman and Pavelski is still a good 2C. As great as Hornqvist would be for this team, that's a heavy price to pay for just the UFA rights of one player.

I don't think the Penguins would make that trade...not sure that the Pens are interested in either of them to be honest. TK for the rights...possibly. Tangradi is a deal killer though.

The premise would be if Suter didn't want to come back to Nashville at all.

As Juxtaposer said, this is a hypothetical situation where Suter wont sign with Nashville and is going to walk on July 1.

This isnt for the UFA rights to one player....its for a 25+ goal scoring winger, 2 recent first round draft pick forwards, and the UFA rights to a top 10 defenseman...

God, Tangradi has to be the most overrated prospect on this entire forum. He's 23 and scored 2 assists in 24 games this season. I don't care how little ice time or what crappy linemates he was given. That doesn't scream "untouchable prospect" to me.

I agree. Even if Suter doesn't sign, we still get 2 good foward prospects, something we are very thin on. We cut salary too, so we would be able give Suter a nice paycheck.
