I don’t know how this would translate at higher levels but he wouldn’t be the first player who, as a junior walk-on made it to the NHL with notable success - examples are, of course, Claude Giroux and also Matt D’agostini.

So, 3rd or 4th round (or the second pick of the 2nd round), maybe?
He is going to be 20 before the season starts so I'm not sure if someone will use a pick on him or it might be a fair bit later. I would not be against a late pick being used on him.

I've been watching him play since Major Bantam - he always played a year ahead.

He's a solid 2 way guy that could end up being a shut down D. Compare him to someone like Alzner.

If he's there in the 2nd round - take him.

I subscribe to RLR and just double-checked.....they had TT ranked #17 in April and #5 in May. They did lump him with Grigorenko in terms of intensity and emotional commitment concerns. Grigo went down from 4 to 8 between April and May.

He's in the same boat as Mallet, a player a lot of teams like but his age will drop him to 3rd to 5th rd.

Don't shoot the messenger, but I'm just relaying a tidbit from March where I spoke to an NHL scout who said this about Houser:

"He has club feet, so no one will touch him. He may be a career ECHLer but he'll get a shot there to prove us wrong."

Club feet? Don't they fix that at birth now? How does he put on skates?

We need to draft him. He could club Lucic upside the head.

He could have had the doctor screw up like he did with mine. If it wasn't corrected properly, then his ankles will be weak as **** and he'll fall more than he should.

Grigorenko's agent Jay Grossman was asked if he would be surprised if the Habs picked Grigorenko 3rd, Grossman answered no, he wouldn't be surprised.

''Marc Bergevin and their front office have shown a lot of interest in Grigo'' he adds.

Does the invite to our combine = a lot of interest in his mind? Is there more to it than that? Did Bergevin find time to personally meet Grigorenko in his 2 weeks on the job?

Grossman also says the KHL is not an option and he'll go back to the Q next season if that's what the team that picks him wants.

Meh, I would bet (and hope) that they show a lot of interest in all the highly ranked players.

Scout was just using an expression, I believe. I do not think he really has club feet.

I wouldn't be shocked or mad at all if we take Grigo at 3.

I believe the scout meant he had a foot in two clubs.Often confused with a foot in each camp.

I would be disapointed, you don't use a #3 overall pick on Kovalev II

He knows his client's stock is slipping and wants to try and "drum up more interest".
