First time since 2006 I believe. This is a fun Mets team to watch, young and gritty and lead MLB with 12 come from behind wins. They do these themes whenever they travel to a new city after a homestand. A couple weeks ago the whole team dressed up as cowboys for the flight to Houston. David Wright in the Mighty Ducks Goldberg jersey is easily the best.
I'm sorry but when I think of baseball the word gritty doesn't come to mind.
when I think of the Mets, I think of the Islanders
Most Islanders fans are Mets fans. Thankfully, at age 5, in 1988 -- I started rooting for the Yankees just to annoy my dad (who is a Mets and Rangers fan). Naturally, when I started playing hockey at age 7, in 1990... I became Islanders fan.
At least I have one rooting interest that wins things.
The Rays did this a couple of years ago. Someone on the team was good friends with a fella who worked for the Blackhawks, so there were a lot of Chicago and Lightning jerseys on that road trip.
Is getting your own name on the back of a jersey a jersey foul when you're a pro athlete for a different team in the same city?
Also, great to see Bobby Parnell rocking the canes jersey. Unlike the Ducks fans though, I think the Bulldogs jersey wins.
I think that qualifies as being simultaneously a fail and a win. IE: you see some random person wearing a Hansbrough (just picking a random athlete that goes to a lot of Canes games) Canes jersey, you'd probably say "what the hell man?". But if you see Tyler Hansbrough wearing a Hansbrough Canes jersey, suddenly that's actually kindof cool since it's a star from another sport repping the team.

I remeber that. Love how TB always had a theme for their trips, and then take a picture at Tropicana Field. Pajama night was the best.
Santana has his name on the back of a Wild jersey because when he was with the Twins he dropped the puck at a Wild game and they gave him that jersey. Pretty sure the same with Dickey in Nashville.
