I haven't been posting much lately but it's only because I'm speechless. This team is so incredibly good it leaves me stunned every damn time.

I can't believe we're one win away from the Stanley Cup Finals. ONE WIN! After a season like this, such an up and down season, mostly down... I'll confess to even have given up hope at one point, when they blew the lead in a very important game against Detroit... then to just steamroll the top teams in the Western Conference like they're nothing, is just crazy. They're not even having to deal with any adversity, which could ultimately haunt them but the way they're looking now I doubt it.

I just love this team.

Is this for real? Seriously? I've been walking around in a fog for a month now and I have constant butterflies in my stomach.

I think the Myans are right. The world will stop rotating this December and we're all gonna die...

The Kings players had a VERY spirited locker room discussion between periods 2 and 3. Don't know the details of what was said, but it was the players, not Sutter, and obviously it did the trick.
That also means the Kings dominated with Doughty in the box too.

Voynov was a beast at the end. Great to see.

I did notice Sutter could not play the Fourth line as much. Colin Fraser needs to get back.

Clifford is just not as effective.

Fine. As long as we get a Cup. If we don't we're gonna have to postpone the whole dying thing.

24-6-3. That is the Los Angeles Kings record since trading Jack Johnson and a 1st round pick to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Jeff Carter.

James Duthie on TSN last night had a great quote: "The question is no longer whether someone can beat the Los Angeles Kings in a series - it's whether someone can beat them. Once. In a game."

Even if the other team has a good start the Kings just wear them down.

They are the ulitmate example of geology in these playoffs. It's all about time and pressure. Constant pressure and it's just a matter of time.

So, you're saying there's a chance?

I trust this team (Sutter included), they are going to give a great effort in every game the rest of the way just like they have been for the last 12. If they do that it will be all good.

I think TSN said he had to go to Alberta but was back or would be back yesterday. I can't remember the exact wording but I remember thinking to myself that he'd be back for the next game.

Dwight King = Chris Kontos

Dustin Brown = troll
(*and I don't mean the Tikkanen/Avery type at all. Just good clean getting under the other team's skin)

One thing I'm a bit worried about is if the Finals ends up being a tough series. I really think the Kings were only challenged by Vancouver. Hope their confidence and cohesion remains. I'm a believer that they will pull it out.

Go Kings

Yes, he flew back to LA last night. He was at the game watching. I'm sure he will play Sunday.

The US team was ousted by Finland last night, and now he gets to see his former team is one win away from advancing to the Cup Finals. That has to sting.

But...but...but...

...he couldn't care less, right?

That's what he said during the Vancouver series. My point at the time is if he couldn't care less what the Kings do during the playoffs, a team he played for five years, and know his teammates like they were brothers, what does that say about him and his commitment to his new team, the Blue Jackets?

Sweet jeebus, the amount of butt-hurt on the main boards thread is reaching apocalyptic proportions. I don't recall any of the threads in the prior two series having to be closed for cleanup, do any of you?

No, but the ECF one has been a few times I think.

Can anyone put together a video of Slava owning that shift at the End ?

I stopped my center ice package (Rip off this year) or else I would.

Jealousy. They're just mad their team hasn't been playing like this.

I haven't any opinion on how things are going on the main thread that I can post anywhere around here without it being scrutinized in a manner that doesn't seem right to me.

I think that we are clearly playing significantly better hockey then our opponent and that is why we are in the position that we are in.

We play hockey.

I haven't seen our opponents play to many minutes of hockey against us.

They were a great example of the success DL has had in building a culture for this team. So nice to have alumni come and support the guys, I have to think the team likes it too, especially when it is someone as awesome as Goring.
