That's a lot of confetti and candy.

Everytime they came over to gloat, I'd throw the confetti and giddily declare in so many words that winning game 1 of a 7 game series was a HUGE accomplishment.

Any mention of "fatso" or knock on Marty, I'd subtly offer them a piece of candy.
Then it began to look like a pinata took a **** on my desk, so I stopped that after one day.

Yesterday, prior to game 1:
They told me I was being an immature Devils fan, so I challenged them to have an intelligent discussion with me about hockey.
I knew they couldn't do it, so if they came over to chat as soon as they said something dumb, I'd sound off the Devils old goal horn on my computer and congratulate them on a fantastic attempt. Come try again later.

Today, with a victory:
I decided to go on the offensive today and attempt to argue that I'm surprised the Devils are winning this series and that even though they're in the Rangers zone for half the game, the Rangers are still dictating play.

I tried to convince them that I believe the following:
-Henrique is off his game because Kreider is overshadowing him
-I'm glad that Stu Bickel is getting sheltered minutes because his toughness would intimidate our young defenseman, Mark Fayne and weaken his game.
-Parise is having a tough transition into the Devils new offensively-charged system and would prefer the more passively defensive style of the current Rangers, he'd find their system cozy and homelike
-The reason the Devils can't get fans is because they don't have a GQ type goalie like Lundqvist and he brings in more lady fans who bring in more fans of lady fans.
Also, that if they told the ladies they liked the Rangers, they'd like them too because they like a team that has a handsome goalie like Lundqvist.

I think I've confused them enough that they'll be avoiding my desk tomorrow.... but I'm still trying to come up with a game plan just in case.

Edit: It's worth noting that all this effort due to the fact that i'm outnumbered 7 to 1, and its my only mode of survival.
Lol I actualy lol'd at this.

Same down here in Roanoke, man! Of the only hockey fans I know down here, 2 are Caps fans, 1 is a Pens fan, and 1 is a Devils fans. None of them are die-hards though. It's like hockey is just something they can get into when football isn't on. Blasphemy.

My one coworker I talk to about hockey is a Rangers fan, extremely knowledgeable for the most part.

After Game 1, I went over and talked to him. After Game 2, I decided to see if he would come talk to me. Nope. Still waiting...

Filip Bondy:

Steve Somers:

Crybaby:

BTW when you look up Steve Somers on Google images, you'll find he's also an artist that draws deformed people, murder scenes, and naked ladies. Probably the same guy.

They both look like creeps. Is there a secret competition among hockey journalists to look as shady as possible?

Somers is the man.

It's all an act, people need to realize this.

He was at Daneyko night with a Dano jersey on.

The train is going to be a **** show with Bamboozle mixed into the nonsense.

2012 St. Pats was the best train ride ever.
