Recruiter...are those what you are speculating, or do you have information that some of those players are considering those options? If so, I am intrigued.

(Which they do)

Thank you for posting that. For your list, add Mike Halmo to pro (New York Islanders). Do you have any information on any ex-OHL'ers playing in the GOJHL who might play CIS next year?

Also I hope Colin Behenna continues to consider Laurier as an option. He would be statistically one of their best major junior recruits ever.

The Tri-City Americans have posted a story saying that Nathan MacMaster will be returning to Calgary to begin his studies. What the story doesn't say is whether or not these studies will be at the U of Calgary, Mount Royal, or SAIT.

Any word?

"D Bronson Maschmeyer has decided to head for St. Francis Xavier in Antigonish, N.S., and play for the X-Men next season. "That's where I committed," Maschmeyer confirmed via text late last night. Maschmeyer played out his eligibility with the Kamloops Blazers this season. The Blazers acquired him from the Vancouver Giants prior to the 2009-10 season and he never missed a game while with Kamloops, playing in 231 consecutive regular-season and playoff games."

graduates of the majors, Maxwell, Wise and Corrente

Maxwell should find a home in pro hockey somewhere

Wise i think is destined for Ryerson (father is coach, brother plays there)

Corrente i have no clue, from Mississauga so anything could be a possibility, maybe out east with schools like acadia or upei. a lot of ontario boys like going to play over there.

Anyone have any info on Owsley, aside from just his stats. Also, is Perricone done at X?

Just a note about the two Vaughan Vipers going to the OUA (Sollows, WLU; Fullerton, Queen's)

Matt Sollows is a 5'11", 185 pound defenceman going to Laurier whose best attribute is the cannon of a shot he possesses. Some argued that he had the best one-timer in the OJHL. He started the year in Plattsburg, New York at SUNY Plattsburgh with the D3 Cardinals. He did not get the ice he wanted so he returned to Vaughan for his third and final year in junior hockey. Along with his shot he is an able puck mover, and is unafraid to carry the puck forward and join the rush. He is a slightly above average skater, and his hands are also slightly above average. He also is in very good shape, which is good considering the olympic ice at WLU.

Defensively he isn't really anything to write home about, and his presence on the Viper penalty kill is not really indicative of much considering Coach Fortier was willing to put any of his options out there (even midget call-ups). He is strong physically, but he has to work on positioning and understanding when to pinch/join the rush and when to back off. He's an incomplete player over all, but at least he'll provide Greg Puhalski with another power play option.

Andrew Fullerton is going to be a Queen's Golden Gael next season, and is a 5'11 160 pound forward. When asked what player he played like, he said Matt Lombardi (when he's healthy), and I thought that was a very accurate depiction. He had 37 points in 40 games last year, and 6 points in 7 playoff games, but I would be surprised if his offensive ability translates well into the university ranks. Like Lombardi this kid can fly, and uses that speed to be an effective and intelligent player despite a lack of obvious offensive talent. He does a lot of the little things well, and killed penalties with the best in the OJHL last year.

He has a tendency to get really down on himself when things don't go his way, but he burns with an intensity that the three Queen's hockey fans will like Obviously his 160 pound frame needs an upgrade if he hopes to go past university hockey, but he has what it takes intelligence-wise. He's a nice add for the Gaels overall.

RMC add forward Brett Pinder for next season. Not a major shocker if you follow the team since his brother Matthew just graduated and other brother Patrick is going into his 3rd year on defense. http://ajhl.ca/news.html?newsID=945

He was committed last year but had to redshirt. Will for sure be a solid addition.

Additional recruits:

D - Lane Werbowski (Selkirk - MJHL) to Toronto (played 3 seasons prior in the WHL)
F - Ward Szucki (Winkler - MJHL) to Regina
F - Kyle McLaughlin (Markham - OJHL) to UOIT
F - Brett Miller (Battlefords - SJHL) to York (formerly played with Chilliwack and Red Deer WHL)

Also announced a little while back but not posted I believe, UBC adds Linden Saip, a defenceman from Surrey (BCHL) who formerly played 2 full seasons in the WHL with Kamloops.

And I assume this is the end of Curtis Black?
Never has been in a game as far as I remember.
