You CANNOT dominate like that for 40 minutes and then play THAT badly in the third. You just freaking can't.

As others said, carbon copy of Game One: they dominate, get frustrated, let the Queen get into their heads, next thing you know you're done.

If there is any justice in hockey, this Rags team won't win it all. They're just so...blah. Doesn't excuse the horrific third by NJ; that's probably the worst they've looked, to me, in the entire playoffs.

Still, given how the Rangers tend to go, I won't be shocked if the Devils win Game 4. Of course it has to be like this. Of course.

The lowpoint of this game was having to hear "Maaaartyy" chants at the Rock. Just so many things that are wrong about that.

The Rags haven't won it, we lost it. We had more than enough chances but no finish. Once again, if the Rags want to play with 6 goalies make them ****ing pay.

The biggest problem was Lundquist. And Zids in the D zone. He's not good there.

End of the game when there was still a glimmer of hope, they totally gave up. It's like they might as well just waive a white flag when they pull Marty. Everyone on the team completely gives up and an empty netter is guaranteed.

All starts with the icings at the beginning of the third. To take all those icings, and then NOT use your timeout, well, that is what cost them the game in my mind.

Once again, this team fails to play a full game.

This game may have just swung the series. GJ, Devils. You beat the Flyers when I didn't give a ****, now you get ****ing run out of the building against the team I cannot accept losing to.

Rangers have scored two even strength goals on Marty all series. That's as many as us and we've been shutout twice.

STOP

no, the biggest problem is not finishing on good chances and idling back in the 2nd period but the game did hinge on his plays - 2 missed goals for, 1 horrible goal against and then the ENG at the end that kills what little chance there was to come back. He's loafing it again. Time for a back treatment and Josefson to play a game. It worked before.

There's nothing to shake up. 3 things gave the Rangers victory tonight:

1. Lundqvist
2. Special Teams
3. To a lesser extent, DeBoer choked the 3rd period away and I NEVER blame DeBoer. I hate agreeing with the announcers, but he should have called a timeout on the extended double icing shift. After the goal, he had a chance to stop the bleeding. Rangers did the same exact thing in game 1. Then he pulls the goalie with nearly 3 minutes left in a game where we had a billion scoring chances. A 6th man wasn't going to be much help.

We've dominated 150/180 minutes this series. How we're down 2-1 is beyond me.

Peter Harrold hits post. A goal here would have made it a different game I think.

Or if the PK would just show up, that would help, too. The Rags aren't getting that many opportunities, the Devils just can't stop **** right now.

I bet they don't get tested in practice because Marty can't make those Lundqvist-esque saves . Seriously, the only way we even sniff the Cup is if he reverts to 94-95 form...

big part of the problem, he needed to finish off one of those breakaways, he's our go to guy

I have faith next game he'll get a couple

but for **** sake we gotta stop trying to set him up on the PP for that onetimer, half the time he doesn't shoot it because he needs that perfect pass and when he does shoot it he misses high, he's gotta at least shoot low and get it on net for rebounds

Absolutely stolen by Lundqvist. I almost want one of the fourth liners to take one for the team and run him.

Nope. Nobody was the problem. That is why this is just a devastating loss. I honestly believe what you saw today was the best the devils have to offer.
