I completely forgot that only Henrik Lundqvist benefits from the posts/crossbar. I nearly forgot that the league does it for him.

Not really with Krieder being the type of player he is. He has great net presence(Honestly he might very well be our only real net threat outside of Cally), is a big kid who knows how to use his body, and he has legs. Not to mention a solid passer, and a good shot.

He fits our system to a T. Gabs is fast sniper who doesn't do that well on the boards. However, our system forces him to play that game. He isn't that type of player.

Krieder may turn into a great power forward.

Agreed. How many times how the crossbar saved Marty's fatass. the problem with Marty is taht his ego is so big because NBC is bowing down to him instead of our goaltender who has 2 shutouts in 3 games

1 game maximum; might just get fined even though it was pretty blatant. Gotta wonder how the stripes miss calls like that but who's complaining.

The NHL actually puts a smaller net out there on the side of the ice where Lundqvist will be. That way if those pucks beat him, they hit the post or go wide

I voted Callahan, McD and Lundqvist. Great game from the captain, he was up to his old tricks and was rewarded with the ENG. He made a ton of subtle defensive plays that made a difference. Good for him.

Haven't seen it been mentioned yet; Torts coached himself one hell of a game tonight.

Thats silly. If the Devils scored first it completely changes the game. Devils are solid when they can sit on leads.

Rangers need a much better total game effort. Hank bailed us out.

If we consistently play like we did today, we will lose this series make no mistake.

It shouldn't be such a surprise that perhaps Kreider's game is better suited for the bump and grind, physical, take away time and space game that the playoffs have become.
I'd be lying if I told you I thought he would produce so much so quickly but it's becoming apparent that we might of hit a grand slam drafting this kid. He's got all the tools necessary to be the big bodied top goal scorer that would have cost us a small fortune in cap space and salary had we not drafted him.
