It's not what it looks like, I swear.

Actually pretty conflicting being a Rangers fan in NJ. I occasionally hear/see remarks from other fans about how much of a dump NJ is.

Yeah, yeah. That's what they all say.

I actually think you and I had a discussion about New Jersey once. Maybe it wasn't you. Main boards, I was *****ing about Camden and Trenton and all that. Not that I think New Jersey is a dump (they've got some of the most affluent suburbs in all of America).

Also, you would not believe how many people over here ask me how I could be a Rangers fan in Jersey.

The city is 45 ****ing minutes away. Apparently I might as well be on a different planet.

Well that's fine because places like Camden and Newark are **** holes. Seriously, unless you plan on committing homicide or selling narcotics, don't go there.

When was the last time (if ever) a goalie got 3 shutouts in a single series?

Very real possibility that hank picks up another shutout in this series.

I'm almost positive that Turco did it a few years back. Forgot who it was against though.

I am so glad that at the Garden all fans are treated appropriately by staff, because that kind of stuff is just downright embarrassing IMO.
What'd you expect from an organization that ran a #noblue campaign?

You know what I would've done if some ***** really gave me a hard time about serving food? I'd spit it in and accuse her of doing it. 2 can play at that game.

They said no goalie has gotten 2 shutouts in a single series since 97 when richter did it.

So it'd have to be more then a few years back

Per Wikipedia:

Quote:
On April 13, 2007, in the Stars first and only playoff series of the 200607 season, Turco recorded his first ever playoff shutout against the Vancouver Canucks to tie the series 11. After the game, he stated, "We know we can beat these guys here [Vancouver], or at home, or anywhere."[2]
Turco went on to lose against the Canucks at home in game three, dropping a 21 overtime victory, when Taylor Pyatt got a quick one-time shot off a feed from Bryan Smolinski. In game 4, once again the Stars could not put up a win, losing to the Canucks 21 off of goals from Mattias Ohlund, then the game winner from Trevor Linden. The Stars then went on to win game 5 in the series with 10 OT win. Brenden Morrow scored the game's only goal 6:22 into the first OT period, allowing Turco to get his second career playoff shutout. Turco followed this up with his third shutout of the series in a 20 win. The series ended on Monday, April 23, 2007 with a score of 41 in favor of Vancouver, with Trevor Linden again scoring the eventual game-winner in the 2nd period.

The three shutouts posted by Turco in that series represent a record amount of shutouts in a single playoff series, a mark that has been tied by the New Jersey Devils' goalie Martin Brodeur, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim' goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere, and Philadelphia Flyers' goalie Michael Leighton.

yes i know. Don't sell your tickets to rangers fans campaign. If I were a devils fan and A Rangers fan offered me $600 for my $300 tickets, higher than anyone else, I would call Lou up and tell him he better fork over $600 to me if he really cares about keeping Rangers fans out of the building, you know he wont, so to hell with him.

Lou is actually the one that got the campaign pulled. He didn't like it and told them to knock it off

I thought you should know that, I bit the bullet. I'm going to prom.

Rangers better do me justice and win this series in such a way that no games fall on the 9th.

I'm awake.

Tequila. Smoke. Crappy grape 7-11 cigar? I don't smoke cigars.

Another Ranger win.

Prust will get a game.

Girardi is a beast.

McD. I am convinced Jor-El sent him to Earth while Krypton was crumbling.

Kreider continues to own.

On to game four.

The idiots at marketing there came up with this. Not Lou.

If Lou came up with this it wouldn't have been taken down shortly after it was put up.

Did the same thing in '08 for game 5. Advertised the first x amount of fans got a towel. I saw a staff member walk up to a Ranger fan on the escalator and rip the towel out of his hand. He tried to get it back and they threatened to kick him out. He relented. Another guy asked for the towel when the employee withheld it... same threats. Say they have the right to refuse entry to anyone and arguing over the towel will get you there.

Because intimidation starts with the towel boy and carries over to the ice. Winning is an organization wide philosophy and slighting a fan is the first step towards winning, until they cheat and block shots.

Well genuinely, congratulations.

But if the Rangers end up going into the finals and they win in quadruple overtime against the Kings on your prom night... you can remember my motto.

Ripping something out of someone's hand can be considered assault, and it's a great way to get your ass kicked. If someone I don't know is trying to forcibly grab something out of my hand then punching them in the face is pretty high up on how I might potentially react.

Legally, they can refuse to give you a towel, they can also refuse to let you in. If they already gave you the towel, they can't grab it back out of your hands using force.

Kreider, a rookie called up during Round 1 vs. Ottawa, has scored in every game of this series.

"I'd trade that for three wins," Kreider said. "I'm worried about the next one."
