If we cloned him and traded for both, then we'd trade for "Alecs", right?

You guys know I was kidding about Alex right?

Thornton and Burns for Auld's rights. (His contract is expiring right?)

But when it comes to Alexander Semin, that fellow is not a good acquisition. Marleau's issues are similar to Semin's. Marleau is essentially Russian at heart, and we don't need 2 inconsistent, frustrating yet extremely skilled Wingers. I'd prefer Nash because he's also fast but a bit more physical, but I really think scoring depth or a good checking line is what we really need. Handzus is our only good Bottom-6 forward; not sure why everybody keeps asking for a buyout.

You know what's even more rad? Semin + tweener costs the same as Nash!

**** Nash. I'd rather have Semin on the team than Nash.

For inconsistency, go check the game logs on Nash for the outset of this past season.

The term "inconsistency" is used at one time or another on all scoring wings by all fanbases. To check consistency, you have to over a long number of years and use a very different criteria. It's a favorite descriptor for almost all Euro players by many of the Canadian media. I really wish they would take the word and put it where the sun doesn't shine.

Uh, did you watch this team this season? There's a reason why Handzus got pushed out of the lineup when he was healthy and it's because he was awful. And Nash is every bit as inconsistent as Marleau and Semin.

Handzus wasn't just bad, he was completely and totally worthless. Every-time he stepped on the ice, no matter what the quality of competition he faced (and he was heavily sheltered) he was the worst player on the ice. That is not an exaggeration, and clearly the coaching staff knew it.

You should stop listening to the media when they talk about Russian players. They're 99% wrong and incredibly biased.
