So the wedding rehearsal was late do to a wedding that was still taking pictures inside the church. I could have went to the game and still been back on time. It was weird not having a priest there while doing it.

I was gonna bet him in the Derby, scratched him from my list (a move that cost me 1700 bucks as I had the other two in the trifecta with him on my card). Belmont is gonna be nuts, Big Brown you knew wasn't going to go a mile and a half - this horse has the legs to do it, he had juuuust enough track today to catch Bodemeister. Curious what Dullahan can do though.

Wow, that's insane. It's not even windy, weather.com says 5 MPH out of ENE.

They also say there's a tropical storm coming......

Giants win the SB, Rags looking good, mild mild winter, tropical storms in May - I think they Mayans may have been onto something.

If the Rags win I hope the apocalypse is coming because I don't want to live in that world.

i'm 2 blocks in from the water, and the pony is right on the boardwalk so i guess it's just got a clear path down here.

like i could sing along with ease. it was nuts

yeah there's def a storm offshore or something. i haven't looked at the radar but the waves are pretty big and messy today

Yeah that would explain it, ENE wind would carry that right down the coast.

And yes there is a storm a brewin, all my surfing buds have pics up on FB today - very jealous of how they spent their day - surfing and not watching their team suck a fat nut on the ice.

Pretty crazy race. And totally confirmed for me that I don't see any reason to bet Bodemeister for the win at Belmont. Top 2 or 3, sure, that's possible. But that's two times in a row that either that horse went flat down the stretch, or maybe I'll Have Another just did that great of a job coming from behind to take it. Either way, on the longer track I don't like Bodemeister's chances to win the 3rd leg. At least I won some money with the few bets I put on the race. I hit the trifecta (not like any of the horses were long shots, but winnings are winnings)

That's gotta be pretty great. Was at the Meadowlands briefly to put in a couple bets for the Preakness today and could see and hear EDC very easily. Obviously that music isn't for everyone (and I know its strongly disliked by many here), but if it wasn't for the uncertainty of the Devils schedule and my graduation schedule, I would have bought tickets to that for today in a heartbeat. The fact I could see it, and hear it, but not really "be" there for it was painful. In your situation, that's just a free concert, so that's awesome.

I didn't put any money in for this race, dad did somewhat well but yea can't wait for Belmont, hoping for the Triple Crown this year - would be awesome and I'll Have Another has the potential

Yea Bodemeister is finito in my eyes as well he's gassed and this one was pretty evident of it

I'm biting myself now that I didn't bet because what I was thinking of doing would have gotten my some decent dough

Love how my next couple days off (Tues and Weds) are supposed to rain. I had these grand plans to go golfing Tuesday and fishing Wednesday, so it better not freaking rain!

Fished 3 nights in a row now, hopefully tonight will be the fourth. 32 trout to hand in Ken Lockwood Gorge. This weather has been spectacular and the sulphurs (invaria and dorthea) are coming off pretty thick.

Very surprising finish indeed. I did not expect I'll Have Another to have any chance at the Triple Crown, but here we are.
