Gaborik is an Enigmatic Floater. You cannot even begin to argue that.
He scored 41 this year.....but that doesn't mean much when you can't score in the Playoffs. Don't give me the "but he's got no time and space" bull
He's like Mark Texeira of the Yankees. At the end of the season.....Tex will have 35+ Homers and 100+ RBIs.....but the majority of them are MEANINGLESS. And come Playoff time.....Texeira DOES NOTHING. Just like Gabby
Gaborik is soft, and he's invisible in the majority of the games. And we all know "his game" produces pretty much nothing in the Playoffs. 1 lucky shot from 2 feet in front of the Goalie in Triple OT does not make him worthy of keeping. Kreider is a factor almost every time he touched the puck last game. How does Gabby and his 324 regular season goals translate to Nothing on the ice but a turnover to cost us the game?
He's Euro. He's Soft. He's Enigmatic. He's got no Grit. No Jam. Whatever you want to call it. He's pretty useless right now......
Mark Texeira? I love that analogy. Tex, a .240 hitter who will be looked at as a " regular season compiler" and a playoff bust and our very own Marian Gaborik, very much the same. Makes sense to me!
Zach can't answer a few questions from the media? People give Torts **** for not being more open with the media. That doesn't bode well for Parise when he gets the big money. He can't hide from the media. He wants the big money which comes with responsibility and carries a lot of weight.

His BA sucks but the production numbers are there.
The point is, where is that production (homers/RBI) in October.

where is craig button red face outrage from wednesday night ?
what a phony .
I love Parise but we shouldn't compare him to Gaborik. Gaborik is an elite scorer who is the mostmdangerous player in this series when he is on the ice...
Parise is gritty and brings a different element but can't score like Gaborik can

Not sure if serious...
In Parise's best season he scored 45 goals coupled with 49 assists for a total of 94 points. In comparison, Gaborik's best season consists of 86 points. Parise can certainly keep up with the likes of Gaborik when it comes to goal scoring.
And Gaborik has been the most dangerous player in this series when he's on the ice??

True, Gaborik is a career 40 goal scorer, while Parise is a career 35 goal scorer. But besides the slightly lower offensive skill set, Parise is the more rounded who also hits and plays defense.
I just don't think it's in the cards, however if Parise did come to NY we might as well start calling them the NY Americans! ...or better yet, America's Team!

Good thing we already got like 9 players that know how to hit. Bad thing that we haven't got more players like Gaborik that know how to score. We got Kreider and Hagelin growing in to our top six, no need at all to "waste" +6.5mIllion cap space on Parise. This years team has reached the ECF, next year we will most likely be even better. We don't need big UFA:s this off season, we just need some depth.
