EU servers are getting lots of issues: yesterday I played a great co-op and everything was fine (apart from 40 minutes of waiting before I could access B.net). Today I already got 2 DCs mid-game and lost most of my achievements. I wouldn't care about DCs if I weren't playing Hardcore mode (even if you drop out because of Blizz, your toon still stands 10 seconds in the wild doing nothing while creeps surround him).
As for the game itself, I love it. Haven't even finished Act 1, but D3 and it's mechanics up to that early point look almost perfect.
Well, I got it. Saw I had enough Bestbuy rewards points/cards to pay for it, so I got it for that.
The improvements from early beta to now are pretty substantial (though Act III is pretty great). Servers obviously are annoying, but so far I'm enjoying it.
Fired it up after giving the masses time to hit the sack, and had no connectivity issues. I didn't play for very long, but it's another very fun game from Blizzard. It's going to be another huge hit.
I get the impression it's going to scale well on older systems and laptops.

I'm pretty sure it is one of Blizzard's goals to have their games be playable on older systems. Definitely a smart way to go about it. They'd never have been able to get 11+ million people playing WoW if it took a beefy system to make it run.
I went and checked the minimum system requirements for D3 and they are indeed quite low. Even the recommended requirements are very reasonable.
Got Arkham Asylum a week ago... pretty fun. Getting repetitive right now though. I just finished Scarecrows 3rd (and final) nightmare level, going to Killer Croc's lair... not looking forward to it.
Beat it. Loaded up on vitality gear. As a demon hunter I kept getting one shot. Well, with 662 hp it made sense. With 1500ish after some random hp stuff it was a joke.
It's weird, I find that I die much more often on the rare/magic monsters than on the bosses. I didn't die on either one of Belial or Diablo in normal or nightmare. There was one rare in particular in Act IV nightmare that was much more difficult. It was both molten and frozen, which was an absurd combination. It probably took my group of three 30 minutes and upwards of a dozen deaths each to beat it and its mob.
Man, does **** get real on Hell. Nightmare was a lot tougher than Normal, and there were more than a handful of rare spawns that gave us trouble. But it feels like 50% of the rare spawns on Hell have some vicious combo of attributes (or just immune minions + anything) that cause us to wipe constantly for a while. Stuff like frozen + plagued + vortex really suck. They pull you in, freeze you, then make you stand in their AoE damage.

Hahaha, yeah. We encountered a frozen/molten in Act III nightmare. My monk wasn't too happy about that one.

Yeah, my party just got wiped like 15 times by a frozen+illusionist+vortex group on Hell. Pull you in, 3 sets of frozen bombs, and you can't even hit the real enemies on the first try.
This the first time I've bought a Diablo game and whoa, regular is a sleep walk. Sticking to regular until I finish the story, but Act II end boss was crazy easy. Diamond Skin and moving forward to pick up a health orb or two and that was it.
Have to say this sounds ambitious and intriguing attempting to have a syfy series and an mmo coexist and impact each. Obviously with events in the tv series could only be the one with any potential realtime effect on the video gaming side.

Well it's good you want to finish the story on normal, since you don't have a choice.
In Diablo, the increasing difficulties are only unlocked once you beat the previous difficulty with that character. You play Nightmare starting as a lvl ~30, Hell starting at lvl 50, and Inferno starting at lvl 60.
