Just saw the game again on a replay. We were dominated in the first, no doubt. However in the second the Rangers even dominates positionally what five on five. Whoever really thinks that the Rangers might have lost in the second period saw them defending (btw very successfully) few minutes of PK. And also, great call by NBC commentators and a few here on the board that called on Deboer's error - not calling a timeout on the icing in the third that led to the Salvator's holding and Girardi's goal and even Krieder's goal while the Devils were caught flat footed still in shock from the first goal. Let's give props to Torts who always concious of situations like this.

With the way Game 3 ended/Prusts' elbow/and the Post game comments I can see Game 4 getting really nasty. Especially if the Devils lose.

The irony of Devs fans getting so mad at Torts and telling him to worry about his own team is delicious. Let's hope they "dominate" game 4 the same way they "dominated" game 3

The constant picking with no calls is indeed "comical."

I just watched it too and while yeah I think the Rangers were outplayed in the first, I think in retrospect it wasn't as bad as I originally thought. Aside from some odd man rushes (which are bad, no doubt), the Devils didn't get really great looks, and the Rangers just kind of hung around. It wasn't outright domination, the Devils just had an advantage. I actually thought they got some of their best chances in the third period after they were down 2-0

Completely agree that it was not so bad and we matched their opportunities with our own.sometimes I want to give some of the benefit of a doubt to those with the other different type of personality. I'm more on a positive side, I guess.

No, just scratched I think. Josefson is better defensively

Josefsen sucks. Sykora is still dangerous and crafty. But whatever.

They need to put them away.

That's just Parise's way of saying he wants out of NJ as he doesn't like playing with Kovalchuk and that he wants to come to the Rangers

Still don't think we were dominated in the first.

I maintain what I said in the GDT- the Devs played the same throughout all three periods. They were incredibly average. WE were bad in the first, average in the second, and great in the third. Thus, it appeared that the Devs outclassed us in the first, but we embarrassed them in the 3rd.

It's all moot, though, because I never understood how somebody can get dominated and still win 3-0, since, you know, our franchise goaltender is the biggest part of the team and he does stuff like this. Hank dominated them.
