But..but..but..I thought Henrik never moves on his saves?!?! He's statue!
If you look closely, you'll notice that Lundqvist never actually makes the save. What looks like his glove is actually Stralman's shinpad blocking the shot.

I maintain what I said in the GDT- the Devs played the same throughout all three periods. They were incredibly average. WE were bad in the first, average in the second, and great in the third. Thus, it appeared that the Devs outclassed us in the first, but we embarrassed them in the 3rd.
It's all moot, though, because I never understood how somebody can get dominated and still win 3-0, since, you know, our franchise goaltender is the biggest part of the team and he does stuff like this. Hank dominated them.
If a team has a puck possession advantage in the offensive zone that translate in significant goal scoring chances - that is dominating. Without the scoring component - no domination as some systems allow for giving up territory and or puck possession.

I don't think there were many significant goal-scoring chances, though. I think after Kovy's first break-away in the 2nd is when they started to get their best chances. They couldn't jumped on an awful Rangers performance and win the game, but they didn't.
I've seen him plenty. He's weak on the puck, has zero creativity and he cant score. All he does well is backcheck.
Whooppee.
Sykora is a fossil, but he's a Cup-experienced fossil. He's forgotten more scoring chances that JJ has had in his life.
You do realize that people in New York get to watch Devils games when they arent playing the Rangers, right?
I have seen him play plenty to, and even though he isn't the strongest board player and biggest offensive threat he is great forechecker that plays a solid defensive game. Before his injury he was playing his best hockey creating numerous turnovers with his forecheck. The way your analyzing Josfeson I could also analyze many ranger players (all one sided player "suck"). The little plays and efforts players like Josefson make in games make a big impact in the end.

I could care less what you think about the Rangers. Brandon Prust is a very good forechecker. Guess what? He sucks.
So does Josefson.
He cant score
he cant pass
He cant hit
He cant stay healthy
There are my reasons why i think he sucks.
The Devils forecheck has been fine in this series. They cant bury the puck. Replacing a guy who might bury the puck with a guy who cant bury the puck is a poor move.

But I'm not a coach, so what do I know.
fair enough.
but when was the last time sykora scored in the playoffs, last time i remember was in game 1 vs the flyers. putting josefson in cant hurt the devils offensively if sykora hasnt scored in 7 games.

Here's the real reason Sykora should be playing:
Sykora is a former Ranger, therefore, he would be guaranteed to score a big goal against us if he plays.
So on that note! Welcome to playoffs, Mr. Josefson.
Care to elaborate? I like Josefson as a prospect, and think he can be a very solid player in the future, but the guy had 2 goals and 9 points in 41 games this year..what makes you think that this poster will be proven wrong now?

I thought Sykora got some of the better chances for Jersey. You can see his veteran smarts. From Czech Trio it sounds like Josefson will be more disruptive on the forecheck.

Lmao..egad..you're right. I can't believe I didn't see that before..what was I thinking!
josefson has an extremely poor start but the last two weeks before he was injured he was playing a complete different game than earlier in the year.
well that is true....but it's a sort of thing you can't predict and telling someone they will be proven wrong is very bold and very hopeful....you feel me?
Not a save. The glove is an extension of the post. Lucky.
LOL!!!!
That's right! I see it so clearly now! He really isnt that good of a goaltender. All those Vezina nominations need an asterix. Maybe just to make the true, all knowing fans happy we should call them pseudo-nominations.
