Awful is too modest. He got better in the 3rd.. sorta. But he played like shize the whole game. it was disgusting. He needs to chill out, and get off his stomach and not overplay.
Quick has looked shaky all series. They just got away with it because the team played well. I'm not feeling good about his play.
Kings didn't look "bad" today, they had some good quality chances. They just couldn't bury their chances, PHX did a good job boxing out and Mike Smith was putting on a clinic.
Well I dont think he was too sharp we could of easily scored
Kings hit two posts. Coyotes did too, but the Kings were 2 inches away from being tied in the 3rd period and making Clippers fans a little but more nervous.
If the PP continues to suck the life out of the team, they could easily blow this series.
I don't think it's going to cost them this series, but we'll be boned when we move on. It's disgusting. Stagnant, zero movement. Total abomination.
We could have still pulled put a win today playing like **** if our PP clicked like it did in the PO our first two years, scored 2+ PP goals. That would have been something.
To add to the crowd that is saying Quick ain't sharp: Word. The dude is scaring me with how he is overplaying everything and getting down early 24/7. I think the Kings not having to rely on him these playoffs has (funny/scary enough) thrown him off his game. He's not sharp the way he was during the season when every win or loss rested on his shoulders. It's a weird situation we are in.
Part of why the Kings didn't get even more scoring chances was Smith's excellent passing, apart from that one turnover. This was the Coyotes best game of the series for getting out of their own zone quickly, and Smith deserves the largest share of the credit for that.

Hence, the Yotes were boxing out. Kings could've easily scored if they didn't have a Dman knocking them down or putting a stick in front of the rebound.

If Lewis doesnt shoot on the two on one and passes the damn puck, goal. If Penner shuffles the puck to Carts on his semi break, goal. Most shots went right into the body of Mike Smith. Those that didnt went wide or hit the post.
That being said, there was no energy like everyone on here is saying.
He made a bad play first goal, second he was too off on his angle
Were you guys all at the game or something and not watching it on tv? The puck was deflected off Penner's glove and into the net. Quick would have had it if it wasn't deflected
Ha ha! Ya a deflection off his own player that changes direction and goes in is totally his fault. Wow.
Both goals were incredibly stoppable. A weak backhand from a bad angle and a flutterer (no matter who it hit)? Both terrible goals for an NHL goalie to give up.

No Huge HD tv. If he was more positioned he could of stopped it, it was a far tip not so close to him to react.
