I'd get a partial this season if you can, would move you up on the list and be in a position to get full seasons for the 2013-14 season. That's what I was told to do this year, I'll let you know how it turns out. If I don't get the tix then there's really no point.

I don't know yet. I have no seats officially -- just a written letter of confirmation from my rep saying I am guaranteed seats somewhere in the upper bowl even though the renewal deadline passed

Same here, you get on them enough, but be nice enough, my rep gave me written confirmation I would be offered something lower than the 73 dollar price point I was originally assigned to.

My 100s honestly aren't worth the $120/ticket they cost this year...they sure as heck won't be worth the $132 they are going for next season. As for dropping the 100s they gave me no option to do so during the renewal...it was all or nothing (in previous seasons they gave me two renewal notices.) So I simply renewed and expect to be able to drop them when I call in for my upgrade.
i didn't hear this from my rep but my buddy told me another one of there polices is you can no longer have more then 4 seats on you account but people that do now were grandfathered in

I remember reading this on here as well. Believe it's a new policy due to increased demand for tickets or something like that.

I can confirm this, both Knicks and Rangers no longer allow accounts to have more than 4 seats

You should have a decent shot at the $73 or $79. The highest demand will be $50 an $53 so I doubt you'll get anything there as a brand new subscriber.

All the upgrades go on seniority. If you have seats next year in the current $73/79 price range and they reach your name you can move to wherever there is an available seat that has been already turned down(not renewed). I know some STH,s did not renew yet with their current seats but I consider that too much of a gamble since if you renewed you will have a crack at whatever is open before someone who did not renew. It all comes down to finances and whether you consider your $79 seat worth it or if you want to move back a few rows and pay $53. Unless they changed things most STH,s have to start out in the lower bowl unless you happen to hop on board in one of those years where the team is coming of a down season or there are an unusual amount of non-renewals. I heard that even with the price uncertainty the renewal rate is very strong and the waiting list has grown substantially since the playoffs have started. It seems like they are pushing bigtime to get more STH,s(just look at all the tables in the concourses) even though they are basically sold out. After the Rangers win 6 more games it will be interesting to see how the seating deck gets shuffled for next year and I hope that every STH who has supported the team gets something they consider acceptable.

for next season I'm in a $50 section and all my friends and family want me to move to the west balcony, i love the view and the concessions behind the seats but i don't think its worth $64 and I'm worried that the price will skyrocket when the build the bridges so i might wait 3-5 years and wait out to see how much the prices increase

I was offered new seats and didn't accept them because they were rows apart from each other. I don't know how they would expect me to take that. So hopefully they will have another location in 2-3 weeks.

The "Only 4 Seats per Account" was the policy when I first got my seasons in 2002. A couple of years after, the 2 seats next to my 4 opened, and I had to get "permission" from ticket rep supervisor to get 2 more added (not a big process, but rep had to ask her boss before I got them). Couple years after that 6 seats was allowed for anybody. Now it is going back to 4.

When the team stops doing well (hopefully 2025!) they will allow you to get more than 4.

This is my first STH season. I have ONE seat in Section 304 and asked my rep to let me know if one other would be available. Anybody on here know the happenings there and what my chances are of getting a second seat in a similar area? Seems like some of you guys know row availably in other sections haha.

I wonder what the chances of getting a single in the upper bowl are. I can piggy back my buddy who sits in the lower bowl, but I really try not to sit down there.

Where did you get reassigned to for next year? Unfortunately they're filling each new section pretty much seat by seat, so it's going to be tough for you to get another single close by, you may have to go to the back unless someone in your new area drops their seat and it doesn't get picked up before you get a shot at it

It seems like most people trying to get ST,s are only looking at the cheaper tickets(old 400,s). Unfortunately with the renovation several hundred of these seats are gone forever and people have been moved to WB and other seats.
It seems like this year there is an unwritten rule of no downgrades which screws the guy who bought 200,s last year hoping to move upstairs. By stating no downgrades and limiting the number of seats we can add tells me that the available open inventory in the upper bowl will be very limited. I might be reading this wrong but why would they care if "John Jones" went from 4 seats to 6 or if after 5 years in the 200,s he wanted to move upstairs. If they had the seats available they wouldn,t care but this shows me that not much will be available.
I hope I am wrong but I think most of us will be disapointed in the end and be forced to take the seats they assigned us.

I really have no clue but if I had to take a shot in the dark I'd say half season ticket holders get half the home playoff games. I know 10 game plan holders were only eligible for a pre sale.
