The goonery was so canned, and ridiculously intentional, that IMO he was probably instructed to do so by Torts.
Still, Marty deserves better from an ex-teammate that he won the cup with. Rupp should have denied Tortorella's request if that is what really happened. I think that was all Rupp. Pretty scummy if you ask me.
Doc/Chico is where Doc is at his best, I'll admit that.
I also love the enthusiasm from him, unlike Kenny Albert, he loves the game and he shows it with emotion. Eh, this is just becoming a matter of opinion now, to each their own
Yeah, I just had a real bad taste in my mouth from him after the Bolts run last year.
He seemed so out of touch with our team, like he didn't care about their names and would only talk about the good things Boston did and never say the things the Bolts did right. Like Pierre does this year, especially with the Flyers series. He gave no credit to the Devils just like Doc with the Lightning last year.
I didn't know he was with the Devils until this year.
Pete just fell on the sword about the Kovy-Parise pairing. He said it's on him not to have found the right pairing for Zach earlier. He found his game more tonight and it showed.
I don't care what you think about his tactical play - he's a smart guy. He takes the heat off the guys.
"Devils just trap trap trap trap. Sure it's a modified trap different than LeMaire's but even with two forecheckers they have the defense sitting back with the third guy clogging up the middle of the ice." - explanation of how the Devils still employ the trap

His bias is clear for the teams he wants to win, the way he talks them up and how great the team or players are. He did that for the Bruins last year against the Lightning and has show his bias in many series. He'll compliment a team or players he likes and talk about how hard they work etc, and not say much about the other team.
He called Michael Del Zotto, Ian Del Zotto. He called Volchenkov, Volchenko. Last year he called Ryan Malone by a different name 3 times in one game, and called Vinny, Brad Richards twice.
Mistakes happen, but I hate Doc. Combining him with Pierre is possibly the sum of my fears.
Seriously? He has to be that way, since the NBC show Pierre and Eddie has the Rangers up their azz apparently.
