Honestly. The Dubi hate is getting tiring.
Not hate. I like him but he is more of the same.

I agree, but we really don't have anybody else to depend on. I can see Dubi coming in and making a difference more than I can Mitchell/Rupp/Boyle doing it.

We have our back against a wall in terms of offense. Something needs to be done. Fast

Since February, Dubi scored 5 goals. Since February, John Mitchell has 0 goals. Mike Rupp has 0. Brandon Prust has 0. I would say that Dubinsky would be an upgrade over any of those guys. Does it help the team score? Who knows? Dubi has the potential to be a much better player than he's shown, he just hasn't shown it this year. Anyone who thinks he'll be the savior is silly, but he at least adds a little bit of an offensive threat to the bottom lines and that can't hurt.

Duby will be a welcome addition to the lineup, even with limited minutes. Hard to see Rupp sitting given his strength along the boards and a good game Monday. Maybe Mitchell, maybe Anisimov.

More of the same, but rested. I'll take that.

Maybe he can spark Callahan too. I think Callys play clearly deteriorated after Dubi left the lineup.

It certainly cannot hurt having him back.
I recall joining in the enthusiasm about Dubi's return after the unfair suspension for going after that knob Carkner in game 2 of the Senators series.

He came back and played okay. If he comes back and plays okay, I will be happy.

Yeah, yeah, I know about his defensive stuff. Spare me the lecture.

So why do you want Dubi back then?

How about:

Kreider - Richards - Hagelin
AA - Stepan - Gaborik
Dubinsky - Boyle - Callahan
Feds/Zuke - Rupp/Mitchell - Prust

.???

Not enough sandpaper??? Probably not
1st 3 lines get similar ES minutes, 4th lines with 8 minutes or so (3 shifts per period)...
Maybe Kreider gets Hagelin going and Dubinsky sparks Cally for some offensive output?
I dunno...

i don't like hags with kreider. they're both super fast guys. if both guys are chasing pucks it's kind of useless. i mean it might work if they get a breakaway they'd have easy odd man rushes, but it's not great outside of that. i'd rather see them split so that they're harder to counter.

With the obvious injuries that Boyle and Callahan are playing through, I doubt Dubinsky would be that much of a detriment should we put him in.

14 points in 18 playoff games = tied for 4th in scoring in the playoffs on a team that can't score. I'm still laughing.

By what time today do you think we will get an update on Dubinsky's status? Man I hope he plays.

Most likely Dubinsky will play tonight, but will it change something? Won't be surprised if Zuck is there as well.

I was listening to Pierre MacGuire on TSN 990 (radio) Montreal yesterday, and he didn't want discuss what was said between Torts and DeBoer, because of trust issues, confidentiality, blah, blah , blah. However, he did say that Boyle was playing hurt (very) and Clarkson is also playing with a major injury. Don't see Boyle being replaced for Dubi, but could see his minutes reduced substantially.

Very good observation! I've been down on Dubi this year, but to say he wouldn't make a difference, even a little difference, is just absurd.

If this is the case, then Boyle is more useless than he usually is and should be taken out of the lineup. Dubi in for Boyle.

in my opintion they really need Dubi or Zuke or both in the lineup 2nite. Need some fresh legs that have some offensive talent

Sit Mitchell for sure then after that no idea. Which is why I only see 1 drawing in really

Torts wont sit Boyle ,Rupp, Feds or Prust cause they are grinding sensatiions. Anisimov has some talent so needs to stay in for offense potential

btw Eminger still in for Bickel please

Will be interesting to see what the lines are in practice at 11am. Blueshirts United is streaming a video of the practice in case anyone is interested.

Rangers taking Garden ice for AM skate. Dubinsky, Zuccarello on again. Torts' prayer service - I mean, press conference - will be at 1115
