Kovalchuk is a much better fit with Malkin, as he's miles ahead of playmaking and passing than Ovechkin is.

Replace Filatov with Kuznetsov and I might stop laughing.

wow. who would have thought it that after just a few years this roster would be absurd. the mentions of such current and former nhl players as Filatov, Frolov, Grachev and Loktionov are truly mindblowing

There are just so many possibilities that it's almost impossible to predict with any degree of certainty right now. For example, if Anisimov is playing good- do you take him? Or the Tereshenko who is proven? Or how will Tarasenko, Burmistrov develop. Will they be better than Kuznetsov. What if Yakupov explodes- do you take him or Zherdev. What about Popov and Perezhogin?? They are outstanding this tournament..

Obviously, Ovi and the gang are expected to be the backbone, but after them it's actually quiet difficult..

It's all up in the air, for me. Way too many variables and too many things can change.

But I understand, just for fun.

Ovechkin - Datsyuk - Semin
Popov - Malkin - Perezhogin
Kovalchuk - Kuznetsov - Radulov
Kulemin - Svitov - Yakupov (energy line)

On the bubble: Zherdev, Anisimov, Tarasenko, Grigorenko, Tereschenko, Burmistrov

Nikulin - Markov
Voynov - Kulikov
Kalinin - Orlov
Volchenkov

On the bubble: Emelin, Tyutin, ?

Russia can go with either 12-8 (traditional) or 13-7 (like everyone else)

Varlamov
Bryzgalov
Nabokov

Pretty strong group of forwards. What do you think of the goal tending?

The way Voynov is performing with the Kings he ought to get a spot on the sochi team right? Smooth PMD is probably a good thing on large ice...

Who keeps putting Kuznetsov in the C?? He hasn't played there in years! Like said b4, Bryzgalov would make a better C than him
