It's their first time watching hockey. My favorite part of the series was listening to them got nuts every time the Yotes were whistled offsides. If PHX wants to stay, they need to educate their fans. That is if those people even bother to show up for the regular season.

Good fans yell and scream at the refs to put doubt in their head and earn hometown calls imo

You think Doughty is called for interference in OT, if the crowd hadn't gone ballistic at the 'missed' high stick earlier, or the fact they went nuts during the interference and may have influenced the late decision?

Knowledge of the game has nothing to do with it, you should be booing every decision against your team to try and sway refs

I love it and it's great work. I wonder why only Quick gets to keep his head though, and why he has a hemlet that looks like a cross between a catcher's mask and Darth Vader's helmet.

I hope someone from the Kings takes the time this week to go through the games and put together a DVD for the Coyotes of all their dives and dirty hits, with the Yandle, Doan and Smith comments mixed in.

Yes, that was from game 5. I also love how Doan talks about the missed "high-stick" when his teammate snapped his head back without even being touched by the stick.

Wonder why Tippett didn't bring up embellishment in his post game presser? I thought he was on a crusade to rid the game of being dishonest?

I hope I start work by the time game 3 rolls around. I got a job with telecommunications in the building, and pretty much everything we will do is pre-game. Essentially a free ticket.

I wonder when we're gonna hear about the surgery on Michal Rozsival's "blown out knee."

Haha. What a joke.

He had a point about the refs not having to be accountable publicly, but he's no better if he ducks the fact there was no high sticking penalty to call, and Dustin Brown did not knee on knee hit Roszival. He should hold himself accountable and publicly apologize. We know we won't see that though.

Has there been any update about his condition?

In other news...

As hockey fever grips Los Angeles, Dodgers President Stan Kasten said he plans to explore whether the Kings could play in an NHL Winter Classic game at Dodger Stadium.

"Facility-wise, we could certainly handle it," Kasten said.

The NHL has yet to award its New Year's Day showcase to a warm-weather city. The Dodgers could offer baseball's largest stadium and the iconic backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains.
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-...,1456659.story

That would be awesome, but I doubt the NHL would go for it. The Winter Classic is a cash cow for the leugue, and I'm not sure they could generate as much money in SoCal.

I wonder how you can get a knee and thigh bruise from one "knee-on-knee" hit?

Brown must have the largest knee on the planet.

Of course we won't. Someone with honor, class and integrity might apologize. Shane Doan has none of those traits.

He overtook Burrows, Luongo and Kesler as the player I was most happy to see the Kings eliminate this spring. Was great to see that slug crying like a baby after yet another playoff failure. Nice of him to show up for Game 4 though to pad his stats with his team down 0-3.

Don't worry, I'm sure the Phx fans themselves will admit their error.

Prior to the playoffs, I would never have imagined that I'd end up respecting Canucks fans the most out of all of the Kings' opponents, while coming to absolutely despise Phx fans.

I don't know, I still think the major appeal to it is the winter element, something you won't get at Dodger Stadium. I think it loses a bit of it's luster if it's 80 and sunny. Plus it's going to be overshadowed by the Rose Bowl, especially if USC or UCLA (lol, I know) were to be playing in the game.

I still think the Winter Classic should be reserved for a host team and whatever team wins the Stanley Cup, that would be really cool and extra incentive and more publicity to the Cup Champ.

The Wings hosting the Stanley Cup champion Kings (knock on wood) at the Big House in front of 110k fans would be pretty damn cool and a better game than what projects to be an average to below average Toronto team.
