I'd love it, but I don't think that flame suit is for Canucks fans.

Obviously the majority will say AV shouldn't have called out Kesler, but it just speaks to Kesler's level of db'ness, even coaches can't stand the guy.

We don't have a center to offer that would come close to replacing Kesler....so i won't even bother trying to come up with anything.

Seems like there's pretty much no upside to calling out an injured player's heart/motivation in the press like that.

Some of us have the train car with a chair tied to it waiting, to ride him out on the rails. I hate this idiot as our coach, and yesterday was worse then elimination day at the hands of L.A.

As for Schneider, Kesler and our first for Nash, Johansen and Phoenix's second...I'll pass thank you. We want to stay as competitve as possible, and Johansen, while oozing potential, isn't who I see taking over a high stress position (obviously with the comments made by AV). Nash would be a given, but if we're moving Kesler as well as Schneider, easily our two biggest trade assets, I don't think Columbus has the right pieces to make it work (or at least wouldn't be willing to move them).

Nash+Johnson for Kesler+Schneider as a base?

Ouch, IMHO what Vancouver should have done is fired AV and went to Dale Hunter with a blank check.

Hunter would shape this team up real fast, from watching kessler against the Wild his work ethic is there. who knows the full extent of his injury tho, it can effect a player and if his line sucks or his wings aren't pulling their weight it will affect the whole line.

Nash and the 31st overall for Kesler and Luongo?
(can't blame a girl for trying...)

Again, I'd love Nash, but I don't think Luongo's getting fair value in that deal.

What's the plus? I know Montreal fans have loved Plekanec in the past, and value him highly, but the + can't be a late pick or busting prospect.

Don't have an offer for Kesler, but if you are looking to replace him afterwards, I am still willing to take Edler for Staal. J/S.

Hodgson maybe, Kesler no. His rep as a whiner or diver aside, this guy has more heart than the rest of the team IMO. Would love him on the Kings if we didn't have such wealth at C.

I don't know why AV made those comments. Calling out Kesler like that makes no sense to me.

How's that? What amounts to a late 1st (due do NJ losing pick) for Luongo considering his contract is pretty damn fair value. I mean, in terms of just a 1st round pick, what do you think Luongo's value is? Top 20? Top 10? Top 5? 1st overall?

I love Kesler but he's become somewhat injury prone and to be honest I don't see what it would make sense for the Habs to add in to get him.

I'm still interested in that. Kesler would have to return a PMD as part or all of the package though then.

Kesler+Edler for Staal+Letang

Looks like Aleen Veenyo thinks he make whatever silly comments he wants now that he has an extension. Good job.

And Turnip Truck? Is Kesler's agent 86 years old?

We have a whole thread on that, my view, which I have stated passionately many times, is Luongo is worth more then the 30th overall pick, so in the interest of being civil, may we keep this more about Kesler then Luongo? Thank you

(Also, I don't want to view value of a starting goaltender to a team focused on winning now in draft picks...just me).

Kesler+Edler for Staal+Letang
Well, if we get Edler, we wouldn't need Niskanen anymore (or Martin, but I won't go there), so I'd consider working something out for Staal+Niskanen and you trading Kesler elsewhere. Can't in good conscious ever deal Letang.

Anyone who believes Hunter to be a good coach doesn't know ****.

First he would say his scrub hockey IQ is great and he just doesn't understand what the Sedins are doing and he doesn't like their unpredictability and then he will split them and keep it like that even though it isn't clearly working. Then he will pick the most easily knocked off the puck player and put them on PP1, the smaller they are the more likely he has them screening the goalie.

That's why I asked

Staal+Niskanen, or hell count me as a possible Martin guy, for Edler (or+?) would work for me either way.

That's just it, I am embaressingly unfamiliar with the Hab's team dynamic (I'm the idiot that was asking for Gorges a few months ago for some minor prospects and a 2nd round pick ).

Other then the usual Gorges, Subban and Patch (who wouldn't want these guys?), what does Montreal have to offer in the way of wingers and/or PMDs? If the values there, we'd be willing to add.
