I think the ranger's are a better team so I want to play the devils. Also being able to beat Kovi would feel godo from teh snub. However Gaborik kinda did the same.

Kings Rangers would be a winter classic rematch right?

for being 40 yrs old, Brodeur is playing some amazing hockey. That being said, I can't stand him, so hopefully he won't make it past this series. An L.A./Rangers final would be awsome for American hockey, IMO.

I think wither team has the capability to beat the Kings. Just like the Kings could beat either team. That said I would like to face the Rangers just to see the wpic Quick/Lundy battle.m That and the Devils scare me just a tiny bit more

It's Richards and Dubinsky. They've dropped the gloves 3 years in a row. But they didn't in the season opener this year, so it's gotta happen at some point (warning, Dubinsky has won 2 years in a row)

I want the kings to beat the rangers. Not being cocky. Hypothetically speaking, if I knew the kings were gonna win the cup, I would want them to beat the rangers.

I want Richards, lunqvuist, and gaborik to eat ****.

I doubt anything big will happen between these two. They'll probably hit each other, but I don't think they will fight.

I vote Devils. See my avatar.

Although Rangers-Kings will be classic, I live in tristate area and DO NOT need to hear all the annoying Rangers fans on the off chance they fluke into a SC victory.

I want the Rangers, but taking a look at some of the Devils stats is pretty revealing. Basically they beat everyone with their third and fourth lines and the PP, take a look at this:

Elias: 4G 2A -4
Kovalchuck: 6G 10A -4 (He's a PPG player in the playoffs and -4, yikes)
Parise: 7G 7A -1
Zajac: 7G 5A +0

Meanwhile their fourth line is:
Gionta: 3G 3A +5
Carter: 3G 2A +5
Bernier: 2G 3A +3

I want NY,

If they made it they would have played 21 games, while the Kings would be fresh playing in only 14. Either way, hope the NYR vs. NJ series go 7 games...that would give only 2 days of rest before SC start

I am actually torn on this question both teams have former kings.( rangers boyle devil harold and poni ) both have people that said no to being kings ( kolvo and richards) rangers have a home town boy for me playing there (staal) devil has one of the all time classy players in Brodeur. I guess it comes down to parise I really want him to sign here.I think playing against us he may apprecaite how good this team is and want to play here. so with that said devils i guess

I don't think many on here hold a grudge against Richards for it, just the way Kovalsuck went about it pisses people off.

I agree theres no where near the same reaction to both saying no. All i was saying was it was in my mind as i pondered the question of who to play and that he said no come to mind.

Devils and it's not even close.

King Henrik is leaps and bounds better than Brodeur. Brodeur gives up at least one soft goal a game and just flops around like a fish out of water at times.

Devils defense is awful and our awesome forecheck under Sutter will force tons of turnovers and give us plenty of chances.

They constantly play Kovalchuk on the point of the PP for the whole two minutes. Turn over city. Our short handed goals success will continue.

We are by far a more physical team than NJ, while NY can play a similar style and be very physical, block shots, grind you out, etc.

But most of all it comes down to Quick vs Lundqvist or Quick vs Brodeur. Give me Brodeur any day of the week. He's a shell of his former self.

If NY pulls this one off, they'll have played to 21 games to get to the finals. That many games before the SCF would take it's toll on any team.

or he will hate you if you beat them in the finals. Long list of teams wanting to get Parise, that is for sure.

I can't decide. The Devils are showing that the Rangers D can be worn down by a strong forecheck. On the other hand, Brodeur and the Devils' D is much less threatening than Lundqvist and the Rangers' D.

I think the Kings can beat either team. If I had to pick one, I'd rather see them beat the Devils just to satisfy my need for revenge on Kovalchuk.

Seeing Kovalchuk on the point against the Kings PK could be good for LA.
