If Zucc is back the only person I could see sitting would be Rupp and a line of Zucc, Stepan, Gaborik is super soft and scary in the defensive zone, especially away where they don't have last change. I think that line would get lit up. I have no idea where to insert Zucc if he comes back. I would like to see Stepan and Kreider back together though, feel like they have some solid chemistry.

You would have to sit more than just Rupp for that to happen, and I don't know who else would sit, maybe Boyle or Prust. But no way are either one of those guys sitting for Mitchell.

If Zucc is back in then Rupp and Mitchell with both likely be out.

Just do it already! We've beat them there once already in the playoffs, so just do it again! MSG awaits Sunday for a cracker!

Will be a massive game tonight regardless!

I'm hoping the Devils look bad because the Rangers probably aren't going to look good.

Pleeeeaaasseeee play well tonight.

Come out of the gates, fire everything at Brodeur, pressure their D, etc.

I hope Dubi has a big game. He's had such a bad year but it can all be forgotten about if he kills it tonight.

This has not been mentioned at all. And really why would it be?

For all the parallels this series there is another. The weather. Predicted thunderstorm tonight.

I grew up in Massapequa. Game six, eighteen years ago:

Thunderstorm.

Started right around when Kovalev scored too.

I'm not ready for the off season just yet.

Go get it boys.

Bruce Driver on home-ice advantage in the playoffs:

Quote:
Someone asked me as a player, would you rather be home or away for a Game 7? Well, to be perfectly honest, as a player you’re focused on the game and it doesn’t matter if you’re in the home rink or the away rink. The crowd didn’t affect the way I played. Now every player will say, ”We want to play a Game 7 at home.” But players always say that because it’s the right thing to say, because you don’t want your fans angry at you. Deep down, every hockey player just goes out to play, home or away.
The players won't be worried about having to into Prudential Center tonight. They'll be focused on the game. LGR.

Good luck to the Rangers....may they play their best game of the year. It's been a great ride. I'd love for it to continue.... Here's to a great injury free game and a Ranger win!

I think it'd be pretty badass if Messier talked to the club before the game. Would probably have to come at the request of Callahan. Doubt we'd hear about it until after the series was over, though.

Why the hell does everyone want Zucc in the lineup??? Yes he improves the PP, but he's terrible 5 on 5 and he will leave us exposed tremendously against the devils forechecking

94 wa obviously special but seriously this is their own team if they don't got what they need in the locker room then they don't deserve to advance.

Go out play the game we know we are capable of and bring this thing back to NY for all te marbles. It's pretty simple.

Throughout the year I hear guys saying this game wil show us who this team is, but TONIGHT is really the game that will show us what this team is made of.

Still cant believe the NYR havent run away with this series. Having gotten thru Ott and Was with all the fighting they had to do... and this garbage team is giving them fits? Mostly they just look shot on their own... not that the Devs are impressive or anything.

Anyways, win this god damn mother****ing game, and take the series back home.

Tickets on Stubhub are $159. I'm seriously considering the spontaneous trip from Philadelphia, anyone think the prices will drop more through the day?

I will never forgive this team if they let Marty have his swan song. We will have to hear about it for years how he finally, in the twilight of his career, found salvation from his heart-breaking 2OT loss in '94 by beating the Rangers in the ECF and going on to win a Cup.

Obviously there is no guarantee they beat LA too, but even if they didn't Marty would still have solace in eliminating the #1 seeded Rangers in the ECF.

Please don't write this story in the history books. For the sake of every objective and reasonable Ranger fan, please do not let it go down like that.
