Another reason why Triamph the Insult Comic Dog is the only thing funny about his show on both TBS and back in the day on NBC. At least Leno will allow cup winners from anywhere to be on his show and hopefully the Kings will be on Leno in the future along with the cup as well.
When I first read it I took it as a positive. Two teams that historically and weather-wise shouldn't really have hockey teams, but do, and were fighting to get to hockey's biggest stage. Honestly I didn't think of it as a negative/bad joke until I read what Bailey and LAKings replied with.
"The final goal came when Yandle tried to step up at the blue line and clear the puck but whiffed. He then was out of position and got beat to the net by Jeff Carter. Yandle then stood to the side as Dustin Penner’s game-winner flew past Smith and into the net.
Yandle’s immediate reaction? Turn to the ref and complain about a hand pass that never happened."
I Tried ... tried to give Doan the benefit of doubt, tried to allow for it being the heat of battle, heat of the moment type of reaction ... but for him to LIE about it the NEXT DAY ... yeah totally lost respect for him, he's a ********* whiney sore loser just like the rest of that team and a good chunk of their fans ... they should be ashamed.
geezus christ, will you guys let it go already. This Doan hatred is going unbelievably overboard. Even the players are over it, yet you guys are holding onto it like it's 7th grade girl talk. If I were in his shoes, hell ya I would be going out of my mind. I would have broken sticks and started a fight while the Kings were cheering Penner's goal. "Fck 'em." So relax, and let it go already. It's an emotional game, grow some thicker skin already.
Was it professional? No. He apologized. Done. Why the grudge?
This is just like all the people whining that people aren't validating us enough. Who the hell cares if they don't say good luck or they think they could have beat us if they had Sedin, we are still playing, they're not. That should be enough.
I gave up on his new show about a year and a half ago. It looked forced and painful for him to do and everything he said was so scripted. It was like the NBC debacle killed any genuine enthusiasm he had left for the industry. His comedy segments used to be great, but even those got stale. Too much pandering to the brain dead population who only care about celebrities and pop culture. All the weird and obscure bits that made me enjoy his show in the first place seemed to be gone.

Maybe I'm forgetting something, but who was the last ginger that tried to get one over on the Kings? Or is he referring to the Sedin twins?

Confusing much?
I understand your point, but telling us to grow thicker skin while saying you'd be even more pissed than Doan and starting scraps on the ice while breaking sticks sounds like you could use a little thickening yourself.

I was fortunate enough to interact with Heidi at Frozen Fury in 2010. Good times.
