Voted Geno and Tavares, too. Cool if either guy gets it.

I hate that match up. I think both Giroux and Malkin deserve it. Problem is a ton of Penguin and Predsfans will be voting together.

I think you underestimate the power of Canada. This message board probably represents less than 1% of voters.

The upside of him winning would be a great reason to not fork out another $60 for the same rehashed crap, if the fact it's the same rehashed broken game wasn't enough

O'k, just voted more times for Geno than an illegal alien votes in a Chicago election.

I enjoyed that quite a bit too. Any game where players literally turn into brick walls and spontaneously combust is okay in my books.

I would like Malkin to win this, but I doubt he will. Pens are one of the most hated teams in the league and fans don't want the best player in the world on the cover.

I don't think the Penguins have any fans that will vote 1000+ times a day either.

I'm sorry but the best game is Hitz 20-03 and it isn't even close.

Blades of Steel was awesome. I loved the fights and the voice in the game was ultra new when it came out and shocked me (Blades of Steel!, Flips a Pass, Fight!)

However, I personally think the original Ice Hockey for NES was better. You get to choose fat, skinny, or average people. You get to control the goalie in a way that doesn't interfere with play. And you have a freaking shoot out if no one scores in overtime. It is still my favorite hockey game to play with my brother.

I've also wondered this as well...

But, still throwing some Malkin votes out there. Would love to see him make the cover.

Blades of Steel had shootouts too, did Ice Hockey have fights where the loser went to the penalty box?

I think the early 2k games are my favorites. 2k2 and 2k3 were both awesome and added a lot of things that we take for granted now. Like more realistic free agency, minor league systems, etc. This was back when EA's version of free agency hinged on smiley faces or frownie faces next to a player's name. They also had a player editor and the ability to choose play by play names from the game's database. This is no big deal now, but back in the day it was either use the number as the play by play name or use something inane like "The Hammer" or "Big Guy."

It's a shame those games fell off as bad as they did, aside from being awesome in their own right, they gave EA the kick in the ass they needed to actually put some effort into their own games.

Having a vote where anyone can vote more than once disgusts me.
