Done with Boyle, close to being done with Prust, and i've been done with Rupp.
The style of hockey they play is taxing. We also played 14 games going into this series with 3 OT games (one going into 3 OTs). That plus some of our younger guys disappearing lately (Stepan, MDZ, Hagelin) is a recipe for a disaster.
Whatever. Keep the team mostly in tact with couple minor changes. Get rid of Mitchell. Add a face off specialist. Get Sauer back.
The Debs are coming out of their end with ease. They make that 20 foot pass, there's always a Devil there, the pass is always to the stick blade, and they move it quick. They don't try to stickhandle it, they make the next pass out to the next guy.
It's obvious that they practice this, and it is working like a charm.
Opponents have figured Hags and Stepan in the playoffs a long time ago - so getting a relativly unknown playmaker who plays with his heart on his sleve, doesn't back down, throws his body around, scores and makes tape to tape passes in dangerous areas can ONLY help at this point..
