I agree 100%, Marty really wanted it.

Rather than playing Defense, Gaborik just watches Kovy. I would rather finish 8th in the division and have someone that actually cares about winning a cup than keep Gaborik.

This. Blowing a whistle would've been a bad call.

Good point.

As painful as 1994 was for Devils fans, that loss certainly motivated them for 1995 and beyond.

Should not have lost this series, dominated the last 2 games and managed to find a way to lose them anyway. AND.....the season is over.

I feel for Henrik. A lot of weight on his shoulders. Hopefully he can look at the progress that has been made and look to the future for that Cup.

Hardcore Fans vs Casual Fans

its time like these were we find out how much each of us care

i feel sick, real legit sickness right now, coming this far to lose in overtime is beyond the word SUCKS

i see some of you saying "whatever we will get them next year", comments like that make me think "this guy doesn't care as much as me"

if your going on with your night normally like nothing happened you must not be much of a fan

i follow this team, i watched every second of every playoff game, and atleast 60 regular season games, and the ones i miss i get live updates, in the off season i follow every single dam day

it just maddens me how some of you have this "whatever" attitude

Always hurts to lose but all in all it was a great season. The Rangers are a young team that is only just hitting their stride. They had a great season but ran out of gas at the end. When we looks back at this year we will think of it as a successful year and a building block to future success. Great season and lets go RANGERS!!!

sad but probably true, year in and year out henrik always carries the team. If we even had some offense we wouldnt be playing in game 7s and game 6s

The thing is MacLean outcoached Torts, Dale Hunter outcoached Torts, and DeBoer definetly outcoached Torts.

I think the Rangers are a better team than all three opponents, but Torts coaching and personnel decisions held this team back.

They just didnt have it.

Agreed, but this all stems from a lack of offense and offensive cohesion. Too much pressure on our D corps and our goaltending to be stellar. Its just not realistic.

The Rangers struggled against some mightily mediocre teams in the playoffs. They have to start dominating with skill. Until they can do that they will fall short.

Is that why we outshot them after the first?
