Did you guys see him? I never seen an athlete this upset over a loss ... well aside from Derek Jeter. He looks so upset it's insane.
I feel for him. He's 31 next year...he knows his clock is ticking in terms of being able to play at the elite level he's been at the past years. He deserved a better fate this year. Yeah he had a bad Game 5...but if not for him, this team is probably a 7-8 seed at best.
We need to get this guy more help next year. He deserves a championship more then any current NY athlete right now.

Wow. That's pretty emotional, you get the sense that win or lose he hates that it's over because he just loves playing the game. He said it's going to be a long summer haha he can't wait to get back out there next year he'll be even better.
Feel bad for this guy. Favorite player on the team. Deserved a better fate. I'm just hoping his time comes (preferably in a NYR uniform). But I wouldn't be opposed to him lifting a Cup with a different uniform on. I respect him a ton and would love to see him win it all.
That said, I hope the Vezina will act as some sort of consolation for him. Certainly will help boost his confidence. If he loses out on the Vezina, my heart will break for him ha ha.
I guess everyone is too depressed to get on, they'll wait for next year. Just in case, when we get over our rage and disappointment, we'll realize that we are building a greatteam, but we're not there yet. Even in the OT, we had two or three quick chances to score, but instead of putting the puck on net, we dumped it behind the net. The Devils, by contrast, put it right out in front and got a lucky bounce. That's what happens when you go to the net instead of always trying to make the safe grinding play.
One thing though, I think this game showed the value of Dubinsky. It is not a coincidence that the Rangers started carrying a lot of the play since he came back. And please, get rid of Boyle, Rupp, even Anisimov and Stepan bring little to the table.
It's painful. It's experience. Talk about a guy playing even better next POs, talk about Hank. Dude being pissed/devastated is always a good sign for the next challenge to come.
Stepan has great value. Think arty may get monocled in a package. Boyle and Rupp are torts faves
Arty has lots of talent, but he doesn't seem to have the fire. He's at this point a great third liner, but he's too erratic for the top lines.
I know Torts loves Boyle and Rupp (and Prust), but I have more talent than Boyle and at age 61 I think I can skate faster than Rupp. Prust has stone hands too, but he's feisty, good on the PK and a good 4th liner.
I can go with that, but I think you underrate or ought to give honorable mention to Girardi - he's a real horse who plays such major minutes all against the other teams top lines.
Personally, before he's done and barring injury, I think McDonagh is a potential Hall-of-Famer. His trade was the steal of the century and the reason we improved so much in two years (got rid of a horrendous contract and gained a stud).
Just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the love of god get Gaborik off this team.
Guy is not a winner. He has a shot, that's it. Most 1-dimensional player ever.
You may be right, but he also scored 40 goals in the regular season and was a big reason for our #1 seed. He is one-dimensional, but they don't have many players with his offensive talent. Plus, he's ill-suited for this grinding, defensive style.
Wonder how tin-man Gaborik looked in his post game.
Hank takes every loss hard, even if it's a regular season game against the Wild. This guy cares. I really hope we win the Cup with him, but if it's not in NY, I would still celebrate like it was. The guy is the New York Rangers.

Gaborik looks like he's seen a ghost, it's been that way all playoffs. It's as if he's having an out of body experience, just has this blank look on his face.
