Bring back Moose and Marty for next season and hope either one of our current prospects works out or we will be able to sign a FA goalie like Smith or Elliot for cheap.
Wedgewood does play the puck pretty well. In the same way that Turco mentored Smith in that aspect of his game, Marty can help Wedge. Wedge plays a hybrid style too, but much more butterfly than Marty's.

I've said this before, and I love when my thoughts turn out to be right, that Elias was the best/worst player in that locker room. I wonder how much of the team's past chemistry problems were related to whether Patty liked them or not... seriously. Everyone thought he was too outspoken, quiet, etc. but lo and behold...

Who is NJ playoff MVP ?

Im a Montreal fans and i didnt had the chance to watch many playoff game this year

But i cheered for NJ against new york.

So im just asking NJ fans, who is (are) the leading MVP candidate(s) ?

Do you see him winning the Conn Smythe if you win the cup ? Even if i could see Quick win it in a losing cause.

Was tossed around earlier and the most common names;

Kovy
Marty
Zajac
Salvador
Parise

I think Gionta and Carter need tossed in there too.

So there is not really a clear leading candidate so far?

Can I nominate the entire fourth line?

Honestly though, it's probably Kovalchuk or Brodeur leading the pack right now. Parise and Zajac are both up there.

Spot on. Add Salvador to that 2nd group.

Honestly, if he keeps producing and the Devils pull off a miracle and win the Cup, Kovalchuk will definitely get it.

Jim`s head will explode and the sun will never rise again. Just like the Mayans predicted.

Hullo Devils fans. :3

Comin' from the Leaf board and have the utmost respect for you guys, and your team since they got John Madden 2 rings and brought the Cup to Barrie, Ontario. <3

Question is:

How available is Zajac wiht Henrique palying this way? If Toronto manages to trade down (theoretically to Washington for 11 + 16 overall) and offers the 11th would New Jersey take it to add a good D prospect to beef up that corp? Or no? Untouchable? :3 Just curious. Keep up the playoff run you guys are awesome.

Zajac is untouchable. Not even a question. He is the linchpin of the Devils' forward corps both offensively and defensively. No chance he gets traded.

Very untouchable but can't wait until his contract year to deal with his BS on the trade board

Absolutely untouchable. Even if Henrique maxed out his potential he's not even close to a Zajac replacement. Even if Josefson reaches his potential (which is higher than Henriques IMO), he's not a Zajac replacement.

Adam Larsson

Congrats on making it to the finals, good luck! Just wanted to ask about Adam Larsson. Is he injured? Curious why Peter Harrold is in the lineup instead of him. Appreciate it if someone could clear this up for me.

Larsson got some looks in the Philly series and he was solid. Even PDB said he wasn't coming out of the lineup due to his play. Harrold brings more speed to the table and the staff felt he was better suited for the NYR series.

He's not injured and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him get a game or two in vs LA. Their forecheck is aggressive and they have size. Adam's calmness in the d-zone and exceptional and his first pass would be a great asset vs LA.

He and Harrold are rotating in as the sixth defenceman. I think this is the right move with Larsson. He's getting a taste of the big time, but not being asked to do too much.

He is not

There was an interview sometime last year where he said so many people in NJ have asked him if he was Italian

When is Kovalchuk expected to undergo surgery, what is exactly his injury, and is he going to be ready for training camp in Semptember?

He underwent surgery immediately after the game ended. Unfortunately, he didn't survive.
