GDT Detroit vs. Washington 11-24-03.

I smell a winner! Cujo gets the start tonight with the same line-up as Saturday nighs win over the Wild. I say 4-2 Detroit. Shanahan and Yzerman both with big games.

P.S. Kira, do you have the Datsyuk goal clip for me from Saturday?

damn. Another game I won't get to see. I'll say 5-1 Wings. Homer and Hull with big nights.

Keep your eye on Robert Lang for me. Let me know if he backchecks and what , if any, physical play he has. Does he take the body or shy away?Is his skating speedy or slow? Does he have a good shot? Quick release, hard, accurate. Faceoffs.

Just incase Detroit pickes him up via trade, which has been rumored. Please post your findings tomorrow on this thread. Thanks.

Detroit's going to walk all over Washington tonight. Their defense is possibly the worst in the league. They have about 4 guys who cough up the puck more than Wooley on a nightly basis. A team like that just can't compete against the wings.

6-2 wings.
Datsyuk and Shanahan with big games.

I've a request, Pavel.
Keep a close eye on Grier and Halpern when they're on the ice will ya?

No dear, I don't...I heard someone say you could catch it on NHL.com under highlights, but I'm not sure. Wish I could tell you for sure.

Try to get a message to Russian Fan...he might know where to get it.

As far as the game, it seems to me the last time these two met, Mr. Kolzig got taken to school by a certain someone...I wonder what he's got up his sleeve this time?

Pavel, one request from me...keep an eye on your namesake for me...the Caps I don't care about...just keep an eye on your namesake for me, would you? Merci.

Cujo was being hung out to dry the whole time he was in there and the only thing thing that kept Legace from getting pounded was the ton of power plays the Wings suddenly started getting. The Wings are not showing up again and the inconsistancy is getting old quick. Busting my nuts to get back in time to catch the game, I hope they pick it up in the next couple of periods.

Cujo looked bad because the defense sucked, the 1st goal was Datsyuk's fault for not covering Jagr, 2nd one, Cujo should've had the rebound, and the 3rd one is Hull's fault since it led to the odd-man rush. Lewis and Co. are doing a terrible job in preparing these guys for games against weaker teams, these are points they should be getting, but yet keep giving away.

Definately a terrible game. We could have had an easy 2 points, but wow.
Terrible showing.
Cujo could have had the first goal and definately should have had the second goal.
The third I really can't blame on anybody but Hull who, up until the 3rd stunk up the joint by skating poorly, passing poorly and not playing good defense.
The most effective line is sadly Rivers - Mowers - Bootland.

Mowers continued to look good later on when Lewis started mixing up the lines a bit. At the very least, he isn't afraid to get his nose dirty and head towards the front of the net. Maybe he or Booter will play their way onto the regular lineup even when Mac and Z are healthy.

Shanahan-Yzerman-Thomas
Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Hull
Whitney-Zetterberg-McCarty
Bootland-Draper-Maltby

Williams, Devereaux

(damn, ran out of room for Mowers...oh well)

brutal game tonight, though. Better luck Wednesday.

It's like watching Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde...and last night I think Mr. Hyde was in evidence in more ways than one.
