I never hated the Devils. They're a model organization that deserves a lot of respect. Dont hate on the franchise because you dont like what their fans type on a message board.

Outside of Claude Lemieux, they had likable players. I grew up watching them since they moved from Colorado.

There was a time when they had good announcers, a good PA announcer and played good music at the arena.

Besides, if you guy's think this is a sad end to a depressing roller-coaster ride, just ask some of the senior Devils fans how they felt after 1988, 1994 and 2001.

We've all been through it as sports fans. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap and respect, maybe even admire what other teams do -- even if they do it against your own.
Excellent post.

I feel perfectly fine hating on the Devils when that guy dove on the Feds penalty, and when what`s-his-name did the hit by sniper routine when Del Zotto`s stick grazed his visor.

Been playing and watching hockey enough for enough years to know when I despise a play which was a concious choice by that player. There are other examples, but the series is over now. I don`t really have a horse in the SCF race, but just hope for good officiating and tight hockey.

Everybody took the loss hard, Ryan McDonagh looked the most devastated. But that was just among the guys who stayed in the room to talk
Well Gaborik made his vacation plans last week. He's going to lay out in the sun. He's got massages planed for every day. things are just great for him.

Well, I have eclipsed 10,000 posts. Thank you to the New York Rangers for making one hell of a playoff run to help me get there.

I may follow suit. Shooting things in the face has always been very relieving for me.

It was a great series..On the flip side this is a hard Ranger team to hate. Stall,McDouagh,Callahan is a beast cant wait to root for him in the Olympics. When you guys played a forecheck game you controlled the play. Things may have be different if Torts allowed you to do that from the start, Great series guys.

I know I'll get heat for this but imagine if Avery were in the lineup this series and helped throw off Brodeur and Kovy. The Rangers record with him in the lineup against the Devils must have been decent.

But whatever, great season by our guys. The emotion of our players from the media after this game told a huge story, these guys are hungry for something more. With Lundqvist, Staal and McDonagh feeling empty about this loss you know they will be on a mission and that's very good news for us moving forward as fans.

This team is not quite there yet talent wise, one or two more pieces would certainly help either through trades or FA. Looking forward to the Kings winning the Finals, the Draft and July 1st. Chin up boys, let NJ have their little moment, in about 2 weeks they will know exactly how we feel now. LA - NJ final, this will be a ratings killer! Who gives a ****!

I'm going shooting this weekend, but since I live in the wild, wild west, I'll be using real guns (I have some leftover OBL targets).

I'm not upset anymore.

And call me crazy, but I refuse to be proud of the way this team played this post season. Ryan McDonagh is literally the only player on the entire team that elevated his play for the playoffs. Everyone else was a ****ing disaster.

I love results, but what makes me happy is a good solid effort every night. This team can claim this on 4, maybe 5 games these entire playoffs, and that is horrible sad.

Lovely season, with a multitude of ups and very few downs, and unlike past years there is a plethora to look forward to, but I just can't be happy with how this team played down the stretch.
