This has been a very funny season.

We clinched a playoff spot with a win over a team who has the coach responsible for ruining our season last year on their staff.

We face the team in the first round of the playoffs who our current coach was behind the bench for, and fired from last year.
hell he's calling volchenkov elias half the time. volchenko is an improvement over that

That's a very memorable call. For us anyway.

Thought that dude said that.

What year is this 2015? WTF?!

Now if only BRENT Sutter coached LA, or was on their staff. Would go good with our playoff clincher over Carolina, and Pete with Florida.

We've had good challenges the first 3 rounds that we hadn't done before.

Beat Clemmensen in round 1.

Beat Bryzgalov in round 2 who we haven't beat all year in the regular season, and who had an astonishing 0.29 GAA, and 987 save percentage over us with 1 goal on 76 shots, and 208 minutes played!

Won a game, and a series with Doc announcing! Remember we lost all 3 regular season games he announced this year while winning every other game on NBC Sports/VS that he did not announce. Not to mention the only game we lost vs Philly he was announcing!

Only if you count circumventing Lundqvist's dreamy looks.

Coaches don't normally get in line anyways at NHL level. I'm perfectly fine with that.
No; coaches DO normally get in line.

IMO, his actions are like a general refusing to surrender his sword to anyone who is not at the very least an opposing general. In other words, it's about ME and my honor, not the team.

Wonder how the Florida fans feel? Their team is the only to take us 7 games, and push us to the brink of elimination, and we were heavily favored to beat them in 5-6 games. We beat Philly in 5 who were expected to lose to in 5-6 games. We beat the Rangers who we were still expected to lose to in 6-7 games. Florida has the most credibility taking the Eastern Conference Champions to 7 games. They seemed like our toughest opponent so far.

Wow it's a pretty bad Freudian slip...maybe it's good he went to the network when he did full-time. Still though I love the fact he was able to call this series, and that goal. Felt fitting we went long enough in the playoffs to get him calling big games for us. Maybe Marty can end his career the way he started it, with Doc calling a Cup clincher on network TV.

Henrik gave up 3 or more goals in all of our wins including 4 in game 5 which was his most of the playoffs I believe. It's funny the only two games we got lost we got shutout. Henrik stole a game, but I knew he wouldn't steal the series!

I think Marty stole this one for us tonight. If anything all the bitter analysts are giving him credit tonight when they're not pointing out Rangers mistakes.

Marty does deserve credit...his two best games of the playoffs were tonight and Game 7 against Florida, the two times we absolutely needed him to not **** around. The funny part is he was a system goalie in his prime, but now that he's 40 people are fawning over him the way they should have when he was 28.

Keep the ride going, we've had unbelieveable nights at The Rock this playoff run.

OT wins, beating hated rivals, having the building such a heavy majority home crowd fan advantage has enhanced my experience greatly.

What a fun night tonight at The Rock, those there can attest, so much joy and happiness by our fans, a real special night.
