Vokov is the first gone, and of course where - Atlant, they always feast on hour schools.
Who knows if Fedorov was prepared to such outcome. It looks like they protected first five kids which were named and now they could loose some real talant.

of course he was, we all knew it: CSKA95 is the best team in the country of this age if not all of europe
next year, it looks like Red ARmy won't have a goalie...Filonenko is leaving for NA and Volkov got picked by Mytishi....Blatnoy grandsone has has his way paved in.

thats the point of draft. You need strategy of protection

If thats whats you call fine, than i don`t even want to know what`s bad for you.
That's easy. Whining is bad. You didn't like. We got it. There is no need to say it 10 times just in this thread alone. You can argue that the whole idea of draft is bad, but it was decently organized, streamed on tv, and it gave much needed attention to young players. So screw you, hater.
Helo
Pls tell me why KHL adopted draft. I have my idea but I would like to hear yours.
So teams could properly protect their own players and claim the rights to the leftovers and not let it go into a bidding war if/once they become good enough.
Just because players wont play for the team means nothing. Look at the NHL draft - outside of the first round, none of those kids will ever play in the NHL.
MLB draft? It's like 30 rounds, NONE of those kids are making it, but its a system so teams can claim the rights, bring kids into their development system if they choose, and avoid a free agent bidding war
can someone briefly explain the #/5 protection thing?
the clubs that have schools and financially support them to a degree specified in the rules can protect 5 players this year, that they have developed.
CSKA had a whopping 16 players drafted from their 95 group, managed to protect 10. Why they drafted Zakharov from Kiev - I dunno, he's got a contract with Donbass already. Maybe they want to use him a leverage in a trade or something...
