yeah true...wow...morning after his team is eliminated from the playoffs, leaves a sour taste in my mouth about mza...i liked him and felt he deserved a better chance

Wow.

Never said they were small.

Probably signed yesterday. So most likely, he darted on a plane to Russia on the day his team was playing an elimination ECF game.

You won't be missed!

Well, after two years in the minors (more or less), he went for the money this time. Understandable, but at the same time I'm sure some of the other teams in the league wanted to give him a new contract. Only problem is...it would've probably been another two-way deal which made him evaluate his alternatives.

Well, the city of Magnitogorsk isn't exactly New York.

Wish he stayed. Always enjoyed watching him play.

Was at the game where he beat Carolina for his first career NHL goal.

Fun game.

According to Norwegian newspaper VG.no nothing has been signed.
Zuccs agent says an offer has been made, but nothing has been signed and nothing can be confirmed.

Odd. Even if we didn't sign him, I'm sure another team would've wanted to give him a chance.

Well his agent is saying that there are a couple of offers from Russia on the table, but Nothing is signed.

http://www.vg.no/sport/ishockey/arti...artid=10070817

"(AP) Russian KHL club Metallurg writes on her website that Mats Zuccarello Aasen is ready for the club.

AP follows
NHL
"Magnitogorsk" Metallurgist "has signed a contract with runs Mats Zuccarello. The agreement runs for two years. "Writes the club on their website . Norwegian's agent, Erik Ryman, denies that anything is clear. - There have been offers from Russia, but nothing is signed. So there is nothing we can confirm, he says to VG Nett. AP comes back with more."

Hope he stays, we could use his offensive creativity.

He'd be good on the 3rd line, and could seriously help the PP.

Like I said in my post maybe it is because I do not want it to be true but I find it strange that the link provided is the only source I can find that has this news. I have read bogus reports about athletes contracts before online so I guess I'm hoping this signing is also bogus.

Zuke has not signed any contract. He is waiting for a possible offer from rangers or other NHL clubs

YAY!!!!!!!!! I sure hope he stays. I do not blame him for having doubts after he was basically banished and ignored for most of this season. Still I hope he takes a chance and comes back to the Rangers!!!

I dont speak Russian but its probably just another case of lost in translation.

Zuke needs to stay imo. He proved himself very decent during PP in the couple of games he got earlier this season. Maybe he was the edge we were lacking during the playoff?

Guys, say and believe whoever you want. It is your right. I just say that he signed with Magnitogorsk. It is confirmed by club. This agent talks are doubtfully. Does the agent have KHL licence? I dont think so...

no it is not! Only problem is if you believe official website of club or not. Club website is clear - HE SIGNED. Of course, you can believe agent´s talk about rumour. I hesitate this agent has KHL licence.

We will see. I follow KHL years and info at club website has been ALWAY true.

Your choice - believe club website or agent.

I don't buy it until the agent confirms it.
Its not like the GM runs the website. Sometimes, idiots update the page. Case in point: Toronto uploaded a Sergei Gonchar profile at the deadline in 04'. We know how that turned out. They chose to acquire a player from our team instead...
