Rumor Habs/stars

I got this from here: http://mb1.theinsiders.com/fmontreal...cID=3859.topic

A local Dallas TV station said that the Stars and the Canadiens had some talk about trading together. The Stars need an experienced D to help John Klemm trying to take Hatcher's place... The Canadiens are seeking a regular and physical 20 goals 40 points scorer. So, the trade would be Craig Rivet and a young prospect for Brenden Morrow. The Canadiens would gain a good young player who has score around 20 for 3 years in a row (20, 17, 21).

That would be amazing! still depending on the prospect

Barely who ever that prospect is...

We shouldn't get to excited... we'll probably be decieved once something goes through.

I'm not sure if that's supposed to be sarcastic or not... If so, I don't see how it's a bad trade for your Stars' point of view.

If Montreal wants Morrow they have to give a TOP prospect with Rivet.. and i don't think the Stars will trade Morrow.

Why not jason arnott. Big center that can play an efective 2nd line center and score us 25 goals. We would have a big body for are power play wich is really hurting right now. We can trow perrault and rivet for arnott.

Than we would have Ryder Koivu Zednik on the first line and Ribeiro -Arnoot-Dagenais on the second line.

Gainey knows that organisation well and knows what the habs needs. Jason would be a perfect fit in mtl because hes a player weve been looking for the last couple of yeares.

If it sounds too good to be true, than it probably is.

Morrow isn't going anywhere.

You never know. Isn't morrow married to carbonneau's daughter? Perhaps gainey is thinking he can get a great young player, morrow's pretty good, and possibly have the leverage to get carbonneau back in the organization.

Charbonneaui said earlier this year, in August, that if he got offered the head coaching job in Montreal he'd "seriously consider it."

He wants in, but for the head hancho job!
