This is one of the best Wiki reads you can find. I love one of the last few lines to the story (I won't spoil it because the story's pretty crazy). Let's just say this kid really pissed away a lot - in terms of money especially. Could have been set for life.....

A better read is the ESPN article that details exactly what happened to him. I for one second don't believe that it was necessarily greed from Harrington, but rather that Tanzer fellow, advising him not to take ANYTHING because "There's NEVER a chance you won't be signed"...what a load of crap
I think this will turn out to be like McDaniels in 2010, where the owner would really like to keep O'Dowd out of cheapness, but the fan backlash will build up to such an extent that it becomes obvious that it will be a financial black hole if they hang onto them.

Also goes to show that natural talent will never amount to anything without the hard work and dedication of a coach staff to nurture that talent with you. Those years in the independent leagues killed him, I'm sure.
O'Dud is probably safe until the draft next month (baseball really has ****ed system). If the fans are still angry then (highly likely) then the Monforts will have to look at making a change.
If I had to pick on to fire it would be him over Tracey.
Yeah it is. Doesn't the NBA still own the Hornets? How can that one NOT be rigged? hahahahaha
Nah, they recently sold it to the Saints owner.
However in recent memory, Wizards' owner dies = #1 pick, LeBron leaves Cavs on national TV - #1 pick, Hornets on verge of being relocated/lose a superstar = #1 pick.
