IMO, no one stands a chance against Norfolk in a series. The depth guys are getting it done in a big way. If Johnson and Panik and Conacher get going, that's trouble. Tokarski has been out of his mind but if he slips, Janus is right there behind him. I can see it going the distance but I see the Ads taking that final game.
These teams seem pretty even on just about every part of the game. Norfolk probably has the defensive advantage, but I still see this one going the distance.
It is the CCF everyone is good this late in the season, will be a tough series. Going with Admirals in six, they just keep finding ways to get it done.

ya it's fairly dangerous for the higher seed, especially if they drop one of those 1st 2 home games. The Marlies and OKC split the 1st 2 games but Toronto used the 3 games at home to close them out.

Norfolk is not a bad road team though. Just 12 losses on the road all season (including the playoffs). As a matter of fact, they had nearly an indentical regular season record home and away (27-9-1-1 H, 28-9-0-1 road), with just 1 road playoff loss, coming against CT.
Needless to say, this is not going to be a walk in the park for either team, but Norfolk gets the edge.

To be honest, I'd rather see the Marlies healthy. I don't want the Admirals to trounce them because of injuries. I'd like to see a competetive series....in which the Admirals trounce the healthy Marlies!
I didn't realize Jake Gardiner was playing the the Marlies.
The Ads haven't faced a defenseman like Gardiner. He could be trouble for their forwards.
Gardiner isn't the type of player who one can assume will single handedly create a massive inpact on another teams production. Jake is going to be a solid player, but Norfolk also has Barberio who in my opinion is on the same level (if not slightly better all around) then Gardiner.
Just because Gardiner was in the NHL this season and Barberio was in the AHL should not be a reflection on which is the better player. Different teams have different development players for their future.
