I see the flames taking radek faksa or If one of the many D fall to us we will take them, and the most likely scenario I see is Morgan Riley falling to us. I wouldn't mind either of those 2 guys and I'd actually be quite happy with either of those guys, but one guy I hope the flames do NOT draft is Brendan Gaunce. I've seen the guy play a few times and I don't know what it is but he's never stood out to me and IMO looks like a 3C at best.

I like Faska and Reilly too. I'd take either of them. Reilly is a top 5 talent, but the injuries have dropped him some.

He's a guy who outplayed his ranking, and other than the fact this last draft has some really great talent; he's a guy who should have been a 8-10 guy.
Also, if you read up before last years draft (including the midterms) you get a lot of "He came out of nowhere" from Sven.

I truly believe he might turn out to be a steal at a mid teen guy. Same like Maatta.

If we can get a Cowan-esque style pick from him I'd be thrilled.

Also, where Sven is going to play was being discussed earlier in the thread, and don't forget, one of the reasons Feaster drafted him is he can play all forward positions.

Of all the prospects ranked for first round, how many do you think have legit potential of jumping straight to the big boy club?

None that are available to us. In the whole first round I only see yakupov and Murray cracking the NHL next year.

There will be a couple of others too. Yakupov and Murray are the only locks though. I think Griffin Reinhart is NHL strong. Same with Grigorenko if he plays hard.

TBH, mostly just in the WJC's. Its really hard to catch USHL games, most of the other games I've seen him are on online broadcasts. From what I've seen, he has really impressed me and pretty much all the scouting reports on this guy are top notch. Every prospect is a risk, but I think this guys work ethic will make him a lock to succeed in the NHL.

Highly skeptical Gaunce will play next year. Faska has an outside chance but I doubt it.
