"Keep your head up, or else you might end up with a concussion that could ruin your life"

"lol whatever"

"Keep your head up, or else you will get a 2 minute penalty"

"nuh uhh!!!"

I was going to write something that would be an even dumber idea to make fun of you

but I honestly can't think of a dumber idea.

Doesn't everyone skate with their head down at one point during the possession?

This is categorically the worst rule change proposal ever made in all contact sports.

No player is going to change their behaviour because of a 2 minute penalty if they are already doing it when facing career-threatening injuries.

Well, I expected a rude reception for that idea since it's a little bit unconventional.

To the guys saying that getting caught with your head down is enough - well, it is, but hockey is a tough sport, players take risk to make plays. Of course you can't never watch the puck, but if there is a rule to look up when you have it, we won't see players running into hitters (like when Perron collided with Thornton).

How does it happen that Crosby almost never gets caught with his head down? He is always aware. Gretzky was always aware.

With this rule, you are pretty much getting rid of scoring from the fourth line. Crosby doesn't get caught as often because he's the best player in the league. It would be more fair to use an average player as an example instead of him.

On my side i believe that the next stride of evolution will be in a new helmet. These horrible helmets will be changed soon. Strange no one thought at it !!
even before a new helmet, how about players embrace the stange idea of wearing theirt current ones properly. maybe if they actually did their chin strap correctly, there would be fewer injuries.
I dunno. I always thought if the helmet was secure to the head and the chin strap didn't hang 2 inches below the chin, the thing might work better. silly me.

Maybe we should make Crosby & Malkin play 2vs2 against Gretzky & Lemieux all season long. At least they have the skill set and the number of injuries would drop damatically I'm sure
