Seriously? People want to give this old fart a try out?
So glad you guys aren't the GM, and someone who is somewhat knowledgable is.
I agree that Hasak is done - and he has been for 3-4 years at least. Though our current 'somewhat knowledgeable' GM is the one who keeps bringing in guys like Pisani and Brunette. The dominator might be right up his alley.

'somewhat knowledgable' means he makes good moves and bad moves...everyone here advocating for Hasek would just make bad moves it seems.
Emery is the freak of nature....you know, only the 2nd person in pro sports to ever recover from that hip injury and come back to play fairly decent.
You guys are a joke with your hate of Emery.
I agree with your posts on Emery today. He broke the team out of several Crawford led slumps. He did what he needed to do and got his fair share of wins. It's Crawford that needs to go, not Emery.
say we get Thomas and could trade Crawford or Emery to TB for a 6th - you would trade Crawford? That's stupid, it really is
Yup, because then we have more cap space to fill out the rest of our roster, and Emery is a suitable back up for Thomas. Then, the year after that we can find a better goalie than Emery and Crawford because there will be more options.
I would love to see Hasek brought in. I have absolutely no doubt that he would match or best Emery's .900, even at 47. The upside is obviously unlimited.

If we got Thomas, Emery would play even more. That's bad. If you must carry Emery on the NHL roster, the best partner for him is a prime aged Brodeur starting 77-78 games.

Keep thinking that, thank goodness you aren't the GM.

No, he wouldn't, he would play less because we wouldn't have to bring in Emery 10mins into the game because Thomas completely blew a game...like Crawford did many of times.

Last time he was in the NHL, he did just that, so.... Obviously, there are better options that Hasek available. But anyone is an improvement over what he have.

What 5 years ago?
Hasek is done.....why don't we jsut get Ed Belfour out of retirement while we are at it.

Haseks Save Percentage was .902 in his last NHL season (FIVE YEARS AGO) you think he's going to be exceptionally better now?
